Healthy eating
I do the small plate thing. I actually use my children's bowls to eat meat and or pasta/rice/starch, they keep my portions smalls and I eat my vegetables on a large plate.
Thanks for link I will read this tomorrow. I am going to try reducing my portions at meals. Sometimes the recommended portion of things is massive!
Thanks my friend that is very interesting. The problem we have is that we have carers coming in several times a week to cook and they only cook simple / easy stuff and so you cannot always get a good nutritional meal just something that fills your tummy. I do get them to cook eggs, fish and corn or grill tomatoes no toast as I tell them we cannot live on ready meals as it is just not healthy.
I have an odd diet, as I'm unsafe with the cooker, on bad days. I probably only have one cooked meal a day, & the rest is snacky raw foods. Mainly salads, nuts, fruit, & kefir or yoghurt. As long as I get the right nutrients, I feel ok. It must be frustrating to have someone else make your meals, though I know folks who can't, or hate cooking.
