Yes I do. It's mainly the right side of my face. It was one of the first symptoms I had. It does come and go, worse when I'm in a flare. It's not a 'good look' ! Do check it out with your doctor though.

I hope they go down again soon, Hilary x

I do not get swelling in the face, but I do in my hands and feet.

I have put it down to fibro, but if I were you I would see your dr and ask him/her.

Good luck and best wishes.😊

Hi Fibropop, I just thought I would paste this excerpt on for you from *NIH.Gov as Fibro is not an inflammatory condition. What you have described is ''Oedema,'' and I would recommend that you have this checked out my friend:

*Although fibromyalgia is often considered an arthritis-related condition, it is not truly a form of arthritis (a disease of the joints) because it does not cause inflammation or damage to the joints, muscles, or other tissues.

Thank you for that 😊

Hi Queencara78

I would say looking at your cheek bones that you have something akin to a sinus infection that need treating my friend. If it is a sinus infection it could turn quite painful and give you severe headaches.

The only other thing I can think of is an allergic reaction to something? Either way, it needs to be looked at just to make sure my friend.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

You are right to direct Queencara to a doctor, Ken.I have had this problem fo 6 years and my rheumatologist links it to Fibro. My mother had fibro and it was one of her symptoms too. It is oedema, which I also get in other places.

However with any swelling it needs medical attention to eliminate anything else

Hilary

hi queencara

thanks for posting a pic.m y swellings have never gone down, and are my skull,brow,cheeks-inside and out, neck.i have the bruising around my eyes an d yellowing of eyes.has your GP confirmed your swelling.never had a diagnosis other than being told "your face isnt swollen, you dont have yellowing -only think you do". my skull.cheek and jawbone are also "different in shape and feeling".will post my pic in a new post as cant do so here

read in a magazine entitled "Look in a mirror"-it said a puffy face and spartan eyebrows(especially if they are balding at the outer ends)could be signs of an underactive thyroid gland and may account for other problems such as excessive fatigue and weight gain.

do you have any other symptoms?my eyebrows are "balding"at outer edge.

I get a horrible lump inside my mouth but you can see it just above my jaw bone.

Lasts for 2-3 days goes away just like that!

I had similar swelling, that was due to an allergy to Ramapril. As soon as I saw a dermatologist and showed him pictures of my swollen face, he knew exactly what the cause was!

Please go and see your G.P. with pictures, if the swelling has gone down, as they are apt to do so just before your appt!! Lol. x x
