Pls dont believe everything that you read. At present there is no cure for Fibro!

You'll just be throwing your tenner away!

I'd keep my tenner in my pocket if I was you. If this cured fibro i'm sure the world would have heard about it. And it would cost a lot more than a tenner to buy it i'm sure.

It's true that lack of the mineral magnesium can cause many symptoms but if I was you I would have your GP test if that is true in your case before taking it. Many people have found that they are short if vitamin D and magnesium but the GP can ascertain this and prescribe accordingly. Often a lack of dark greens etc in diet can cause problems as often if we have fibro because if pain and fatigue we unfortunately end up having quite a restricted diet as we haven't the energy to cook properlyandendup eating convenience food. Good luck if you do decide to try it.x

Thankyou rosewine your right about the restricted diet! I found its easier to chop carrot , greens, cauliflower to thin strips and microwave .

Well not sure I completely agree with the excuse of not cooking properly and eating convenience foods. I live alone and still manage to cook healthy meals albeit easy ones, today I had two organic lamb chops, organic new potatoes with mint and organic broccoli. After washing the veg I placed the potatoes in a small pan, waited for 20 minutes then popped the broccoli in the pan with the potatoes, I placed the chops in another pan with a little avocado oil, cannot get much easier than that and I know it is good wholesome food, delicious.

You have me positively drooling. My fave is lamb chops, any kind potato as I am a complete potato head, broccoli or any greens with a bit if fresh mint, thick gravy not and lashings of mint sauce. Unfortunately it is not my OH,'s idea of a favourite so it only gets cooked on a very good day and then I have to ask him to wash up but it is worth the pain.I have great difficulty picking up the pans and checking the chops as I like mine done in the oven.

Omelettewith cheese or whatever I have available is a standby if OH is ill as it only means few minutes at the stove. X

I take magnesium malate and can assure you it doesn't cure fibro. My pain level did improve when I started taking it probably because being low in magnesium can cause aches and pains similar to the fibro pain. Also the malate element of it can help with energy levels but believe me it is not a cure all just a supplement that can help and is one of several that I take to manage my fibro. By all means try it, I doubt it would do any harm and you may well feel some benefit just don't expect a miracle. Good luck and I hope you find something that helps you.

Gentle hugs, Steph

Thankyou for positive reply Steph we got to try everything thats not prescribed by doctors most of them think we are dreaming it up "its all in your mind" .I tried mag sulfate in the bath !great for relaxing and easing pain and put some of the bathwater on the lawn as not to waste water now i have to mow the lawn twice a week! I can see a vicious circle emerging

Hi jbgood7

I have never tired this myself but I have pasted the NHS Choices cache on this and it is associated with quite a few medical conditions if your levels are not right? However, it doe snot mention Fibro sadly.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with this and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

A magnesium bath does help bt not a cure:

We all need to take supplements and try whatever we can to aid pain management however!

I use in bath, as a spray, a homemade lotion and take a pill.

I'm seeing a chiropractor ATM. 😊😃 Had Accupuncture, steroid injections, meds, alexander technique, work outs, yoga, stretching, trigger point massage, cbt,

List goes on!!

A cure is maybe a little extravagant, but in my opinion magnesium definitely helps. I have tablets, salts, spray and use them alongside yoga, stretching exercises, relaxation and my best attempt of pacing - to help relax/ease the tightness in my muscles and dull the pain. Wouldn't be without my magnesium and all without the wacky side effects of other medications I've tried. ;-)

We are all different tho. Good luck in your journey to finding things that help you 🍀

Hi, I recently started taking Magnesium Malate as my sleep patterns were all over the place and I couldn't sleep sometimes til 6am, others not til 11am. It has really helped me dramatically. Most people in the world are deficient in magnesium due to over processing of soil being, giving depletion of many important nutrients. On top of that people with fibromyalgia are highly recommended to take this. There are so many types of magnesium so after a lot of research and finding someone else who had done a lot of research the No. 1 on the list was from Source Natural which I got on e...y for a reasonable amount. The only thing is I found that it helps if you have constipation caused by painkillers so I take between 2-3 at night, but if you don't have constipation try initially with just 1 and build up if necessary.

Good luck

x
