Paleo diet cure for fibromyalgia.
Hi Dimplez18
I am on half of a Paleo diet due to so many food allergies! However, and sadly, there is no current medical evidence that it helps cure Fibro, and I still get a lot of pain? And the official line is that there is no cure for Fibro.
Below I have pasted a *Google definition of a Paleo diet:
*A diet based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit and excluding dairy or cereal products and processed food.
Please keep in your thoughts that early humans only had an estimated life expectancy of 30 years maximum according to most reputable scientists who have studied Paleolithic remains. So I am not sure that following this model really does help? However, I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck if you decide to give it a try?
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
I'm sure there must be some cure for this? There is cure for everything besides death.
Hi there, I am sorry I don't want to burst your bubble of finding a cure for fibro. But after suffering like many for over 30 years if there was a cure out there believe me I'm sure we would have heard about it. Not to mention the people who found the cure as they would be very wealth people.
Imo eating healthy would and can benifit many with a number of food related Iillnesses but even then it's not a cure its just a way of maintaining the health problem such as diabetes or gluten sufferes for example.
But then what is an healthy diet? what may be healthy for some may make others ill.
As to my knowledge their is no cure for fibro either through medication or food. The one good thing we need to keep in mind as bad as this awful illnesses is it is not terminal people do not die from fibro. It just feels some days like we are.
I wish you luck my dear with what ever you try to make life better for yourself. Fibro is an awful illness but we must never give up from doing the best we can. Diet and exercise is a good maintanence program to help keep us active and lower many of our symptoms unfortunately it is not a cure. xx

I'm sure the diet is good for you as every little bit helps , to my knowledge there is currently no cure for FM.I do wish you the best.Peck 🐤
This is week 7 for me. I'm much better but with degenerative disc disease as well I'm still have pain. I plan to give this diet at least 6 months.
If it reduces alot of your symptoms that's good enough for me.
Thanks kai
I have changed my diet completely - I still have pain and the occasional flare but I feel so much better - and my weight is slowly melting. off. -
Its white meats, fish, veg salad. Fruit, no wheat/gluten and no processed foods

Eating a healthy diet has got to be good for you and helpful in some way, but as for it being a cure, I don't think so.
There's always hope as long as people are looking into it. 😊
Have a good day.
I believe it is stress that is the root cause which damages the system, a healthy diet is important but healing the inflamed amygdala/brain pathways plays a huge part, the practice of Mindfulness is helpful but sadly too often we do not have access to experienced PTSD Therapists and therefore much damage remains resulting in a continuation of health issues. We must not under estimate the power of thoughts and fearful situations.
I think people seem to be focusing on the word 'cure'
Palio is not a diet, it is a lifestyle choice. The way it benefits the body is by illiminating all the chemicals and toxins we eat with our food and only eating fresh food.
The reason this helps a lot of people, with or without fibro is because it stops us eating unknown chemicals that can cause inbalance in body set up, which will aggravate our condition.
It may not cure you, but let's be honest any help is better than none stick with it diarise your symptoms and have a look after a month or two - it certainly won't make you worse so what have you got to loose?
I bear in mind the fact that around that time our digestive systems underwent a huge change (but how do they know?) and we're not terribly adapted to it now. It seems that if we eat a "healthy balanced diet" we give ourselves the best chance. You hear or read about xyz substance being a cure for something but the quantity you have to ingest is often unreasonably big. Like a compound in red wine, you need the equivalent of 13 bottles for it to be effective. Of course the alcohol in this would be detrimental to say the least
