An Irishman runs into the pub shouting "Oi I have found a cows nest come quickly" So all the locals looking very puzzled followed him down the street and into the local field then into a large bush where he was proudly stood pointing at a crate of empty milk bottles !!

I recall a train journey with my Grand children it was very stormy, I said "oh look at all the cows sheltering in the trees" three pairs of eyes were scanning upwards to the canopy. xx

Many years ago,  milk was left in churns on a big stand at the farm gate , ready for the dairy to collect (long before bulk tankers). We used to call these churn stands cows' nests! Thank you so much for the lovely memory!
