Legs giving way
Hi, yes that happens to me at times too. I fell down stairs a while ago and sprained my ankle. This is still not very strong, so making things worse. I often feel like Im going to fall over.
My only suggestion is to use a stick.
Take care
Hi there
I am wondering whether it is worth a trip to your GP just so that they can check that there is nothing else going on?
It is very easy to put all sorts of symptoms down to Fibro. I am not saying that you need to worry, but it could be worth just seeing your GP to put your mind at rest.
Loss of balance can be a Fibro symptom but this is sounding slightly different.
I am not a doctor, just speaking from my own experience of having had Fibro for 34 years.
Wishing you calmness and peace

Mine love giving way when I'm climbing the stairs. Luckily not done it on the way down yet lol. It's my osteoarthritis though. Could be Fibro, hadn't really thought about it. Hope the injections do the trick for you 🐸
I have to use 2 sticks because I can't trust my legs not to give way. My knee caps subluxate ( semi dislocate) so balance is an issue. I would advise checking up with your GP.
Hope they help xx
Hi Kirstybaby1
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this problem. I sincerely hope that your injections work well for you and please let us all know how you get on?
It does appear to be a problem that many Fibro sufferers endure unfortunately, and I would not be surprised if some of the powerful medications that we take could possibly add to this issue? I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi - I have experienced this when my back is very bad too. In fact I lose sensation in my saddle area and this can make me fall. My doctor didn't give me any advice or medication for this - he just shrugged and said it was the fibro.
I contacted the council and asked for a stairlift but because I work I am not entitled to that level of help. They did come and put in a stair rail and gave me a commode in case I get stuck downstairs so I am grateful for that. They also offered to come and assess me. So it may be worth you contacting your local authority disability team and ask for some help.
I have left a couple of posts about using an Actipatch that has helped my back. But I can't say that it has helped me when I get loss of sensation and my legs give way because I have only been using it for a week and the loss of sensation doesn't happen that often for me.
I hope you get some help soon
Take care
