I have just registered with a new actor and will be able to see him from nxt Friday and I am wondering whether I will have one that believes that fibro is a real illness and that we do need help and understanding. I was fortunate that my doctor who retired and the one who took over did what they could.

I must admit that the last one had to be retrained a bit as he tried to insist I did not have osteo arthritis in my hips as I could move them too easily until Xrays showed that I had. His whole attitude then changed towards me and from then on he beloved me when I said I was in pain. Hope the retraining goes well.x

When I was first diagnosed I returned to my gp and asked him if he believed in fibro. He said it didn't matter what he thinks because in a few years medicine will call the condition something else. He said the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is a semi permanent science. I will take his answer as a no!

Hope things get better with your new doctor. You have a great opportunity here to teach him all about fibromyalgia from one who knows. Take care. :-)

Hi usaredneck

I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. I do not know how it works with doctors in the US but I would find a different one who actually knows what they are talking about.

I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you
