My Darling Doggie passed away

Millie by darling doggie companion has passed away this morning. Such Love always at my side. Her heart we only found out yesterday late stage heart disease. Fought all night to keep going but by this morning. We could not see her suffer a min longer. Peaceful Sleep my darling. Very devasted but will remember all good times. 💕💕💕💕🙏

I'm waiting to move home so that Canine Partners can assess the suitability for an assistance dog. Can't wait, it's been 4 years since I had a dog after a lifetime with them.

I have my cat who is, well, different more intuitive than any cat I've ever known, he's lovely

So sorry to hear it's like loosing a limb we lost our German Shepard two years ago and I got two more mum and son but don't think mum will b here Xmas she's got irthritus in back legs and blind in one eye and deaf she's 13 the son 11 so sorry my heart goes out to u X

Aaaahhh dear fibroglow, you have my huge condolences, but take courage in the fact that lovely Millie is running free of pain and restored to the dog she always was. It is such a hard decision to make, but it's the price we sadly have to pay for the years of love and affection the have given us.

Savour the memories of her when she was unencumbered by illness and as you say remember the good times you had together 💞💞

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My thoughts are with you. I can't even bring to imagine how you must be feeling. I would be totally lost without my two dogs. It must be incredibly difficult but try and remember all the good times you both had all the pleasure and love she has given you over the years and be thankful she's no longer in any pain or suffering in any way. She's now in dogy heaven looking down on you.

sorry to hear of millies passing. I too love the rainbow bridge poem. millie will always be in your heart, maybe make a keepsake box for her collar and lead and her favorite toy. I did that for my lucy and megan when they passed away.
