Like so many of you I find the festivities too much and hate myself as I love my family. I have had to wait from November until yesterday to have 3 teeth removed at the hospital and had 6 injections which were pure agony. The dentist cut them out and I had 6 stitches. When the effects of the local anaesthetic wore off I had a night without sleep and paracetemol extra did nothing to ease the pain. My husband bought some cocodamol and the first couple helped quite well but I took some more at 17h15 and this time they haven't relieved the pain much! My whole mouth aches and I just pray for the pain to go. I have osteoarthritis in my neck, lower spine and hips and I find the pain in my pelvic area almost unbearable and keep getting interstitial cystitis to make matters worse. I am very seldom pain-free and would like to know if any of you ladies get the groin problem? I often wonder why I take the meds prescribed as I had hoped they would help the fibromyalgia more!
Look forward to you replies.

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling so much and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to these issues. I think I would go and discuss with your GP exactly how you are feeling and see of they can offer you some stronger pain management. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Froglette, sorry to hear of your dental issues. On top of every other pain I know it can be the straw that breaks the camels back! I suffer constant pelvic pain. Not found any way of relieving it and try not to take pain meds having come off all pharmaceutical drugs ... And then I was prescribed levothyroxine so need to take that one! Heat helps and I often sit with hot water bottles or the other thing I do is Epsom salt baths every night (or should I say on the nights I have the energy to have a bath!) Bon chance in your quest to become pain free and Bon Annee... That's about my limit ...sorry!! Jax 💕
To be honest I think those with fibro from my experience seem to suffer quite badly when we have to have any dental extractions. I've had two wisdom teeth out on separate occasions and suffered very badly with the pain on both occasions. It also seems to make the whole body on edge.
I found that my Ibuprophen tablets seemed to help the most with this but I knownoteberyone can take them. Hope that part of your body at least will soon be pain free.x
Since the holidays, I have been getting severe groin pain...Ironically that is how my Fibro first came about. I could barely get out of a chair w/o feeling like the leg was going to give out. Once diagnosed, the pain transferred to my neck which is where it has stayed for many years. This past Christmas, maybe from over doing, I developed that same strong pain in the groin like the bone was breaking and not going to hold me up. It took a couple of weeks of hot baths to bring the pain down which made me realize it was Fibro again. I have to be careful if I stretch my leg, it will happen again.
I do wear orthodics in my shoes and think they need to be redone. That alone would put a stran on the lower back and hips. I do not take any meds for pain.
