My friend won his pip appeal on the 13th of November yes the 13th was told it shouldn't be long before they started payments again and any back pay was wondering how long it takes thanks for advice in advance

If he was on dla previously pip payments should start four weeks after pip decision. If new pip claim then really should get payments started by now. The bigger the back payment the longer they like to take. I strongly suggest that dwp pip are called to verify payment dates and make sure they have received appeal decision as can take time to get through the system. They do need a call and nudge to move things along so ask your friend to have all paperwork with them and call asap and if call advisor cannot give them info then ask for a manager call back.

He was on low care component but lost it at tribunal but awarded him standard daily living

Plus can they appeal now as it's been over a month since he won his pip award

If he was on low rate dla then standard care pip will in fact be an increase of money plus if he has someone caring for him they might be able to claim carers allowance.I definitely think that he should phone and see what is going on and if necessary fax or email a copy of tribunal award to them to hurry up payments.
