Having posted a picture of my nurse Holly I feel I can't leave out my other dog ' gentle giant Onslow'. He is now too old to get upstairs to be my nurse. He is the most gorgeous dog ever and has a beautiful nature. Our nick name for him is Dyson because if you let him he would Hoover up any food that's around.

My other dog 'ONSLOW'
I love him xx
He is just a big beautiful baby boy. It's hard when they get old, our faithful companions, but the years of love and loyalty they give us, without reservation, are a blessing!
I am outside of WAshington, DC- it is only 9 pm
He is an amazing colour. Really nice coat. Obviously hoovering lots of nice stuff! Yes, we all grow old the same. He's giving a look like " just because I don't protest doesn't mean I agree!" Are you talking cat adoption?
Lovely lad. A vet told me a Labrador is a life support system for a stomach. It's hard to disagree
What a stunning picture a house is empty to me without a dog xx
I feel the same way about cats. For me it doesn't matter which animal "lets you live with them" or which one you connect with best as long as you are both company and comfort for each other.
What a beautiful boy. Our family dog years ago was a black lab by the name of Cleo. She lived until the age of 16. We very quickly realised that that we had given her the wrong name and it should have been "Hoover"!

What a beautiful dog! How lucky you are to have two such loyal companions. Holly looks gorgeous too. When we had our last dog, he used to "Hoover" the kitchen floor very efficiently. Best wishes MariLiz
Ahh, he looks like a very soulful companion for you!! Big softie no doubt.xx
beautiful photo. he looks so content x
is he a chocolate lab. my son has one he could also be a dyson. how old is he. he is very handsome x
Hello dilly dally no he's actually a black Labrador and he will be 12 years old next June.
My Onslow has been a chapter after chapter of illness so I feel that he and I are kindred spirits. Some of you may know that Labradors have lumps and bumps that often come up on their bodies that are either harmless fatty lumps or more serious cancers.
Onslow has had quite a few harmless fatty lumps removed including 2 on his eyelids. Plus other stomach issues .Bless him he's just been one of those dogs. However the thousands we've spent on him doesn't matter he's just our boy.
Approximately 2-3 years ago he developed a fatty lump on his neck which the vet operated on but said he couldn't remove as it had entwined with the neck muscle. We were not too worried about it at that time as it was harmless. Now however it is huge ! It has pushed his shoulder over and is now starting to push his spine. This means that it will soon affect his walking and of course at that time we will have to say goodbye. We now know that another vet could remove it but it would be a massive operation and in our view too larger op to put Onslow through at his age.
We have learned our lesson here especially as our daughter is now a vet nurse,in that just because one of the vets in a practise can't do the op it doesn't mean that another vet within the same practise isn't able to do it. I hope this might help someone else. I will post a picture of Onslows neck if I can find one.
Love to all

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's good to you are prepared, and avoid him suffering.
Enjoy every day.
Blessings.
What a gorgeous face & those eyes, beautiful, I'm sure he does his part to help when you are downstairs 😊 They are the best nurses I have seen in a long time, I'm sure they give u lots of comfort & joy 🐶🐶 woof woof Holly & Onslow
How did you manage to post a picture, a friend has been trying to post pictures in a private message to me
Aww he's lovely! I know all about Labradors and their appetite, my friend a has chocolate lab who eats EVERYTHING! Had a barbecue at hers a few years ago and he stole plenty when our backs were turned.
He is very handsome indeed Unfortunately fatty lumps (lipoma's) are comman in older dogs, Ryan my german shepherd had a very large one on his side and under his belly. They don't inpead his mobilty which is good, but some people will ask "what is that?" I dont care what he looks like as long as he's not in any pain. I wouldn't have them removed purely for cosmetic reasons, only if they inpeaded him in any way. If removed they can usually grow back.
Look at the love in onslow's eyes what a beautiful lad he is xxxxx
Bless his precious heart,,,,hope he enjoys sitting with you,,,,when you are downstairs,,,,,
