Ken, why not just move to Bletchley?
We should all move there, set up a commune xx
Now that's the best idea I've heard for ages
Not sure Lou, we would all be arguing over who done the cleaning
Oh to heck with it, count me in too
Me 2
Plenty of room for the elephants, giant ducks and whatever other pieces of topiary you can find
I've already been there , amazing place , there's a coragrate shed round the back and Winston Churchill used to lose his bowler regularly by a 12 yr old throwing crab apples at him . π They were very taken with my daughter abbi when we were there , there is a lady called Audrey Lewis who lives near me she worked there during the war , and has a letter from Nevel chamberlain thanking her for her war work , there is also a historic post office there as well π
I'll do my share of cleaning if you'll let me have somewhere to burrow
Only your share ,that doesn't seem fare , it would be a privilege to live with us lot , think of all the advantages you would have ,
Are sarcasm,
Are irritating pets
Mine and kens fish
The gardens to weed
Are shoes to polish
The ironing
You could go round at night lighting the gas lights
The list is endless
You haven't mentioned beatings. I want my share of beatings
May I lick your shoes instead?
Fink I would like shadow, murphy, cassie, poppie and Mr Benjamin
Now I not into beating myself , but I am sure we can find someone to build some stocks ,I should of realised after that picture the other day
Will Welles be ok , they are pretty with daisy all over them
I am sure shadow and Murphy will be fine with the idea as long as your good to be here mistress.
One worry is will Shadow and Meg lead each other on?
I got worried for a bit there that this conversation was going into the realms of Fifty Shades of Badger
I know π ,good job I am a shadow of my former self isn't it , although a shadow tends to be grey π
whiplash indulgence causing you to be a shadow
Excuse you I will have you know I have never had whip lash in any form , ( chance would be s fine thing )
How dare you suggest such a thing , :0
Hehe, wondered with you being 'She who must be obeyed' a little dominating don't you think
Nooooooo!
Loved that film as a kid , haven't seen it in years , to be honest hadn't thought about that bit till you said ,I am very quite and lady like to be honest , quite shy with that sort of stuff , I say things in total navitity sometimes and my kids crack up , my daughter was playfully calling me something in front of her friend the other day and he was shocked because I laughed back , she asked me the next day if I new what it was I didn't she burst out laughing, and told me I was rather shocked but it's done it's said she wasn't being nasty . I was a bit sheltered if you know what I mean.
Off to hospital
Chris x
My hubby teases me that I am a flirt and always have been, problem has always been that I can talk the talk but that is it, first person to take me seriously and I run a mile I am very much a one man woman, bless him, he is stuck with me
I use to be the only woman working with a group of young men I was also very single. I didn't understand half of what they said to me and blushed too easily. Got good advice from my Mum and never looked back
Good luck this afternoon
Are that's where I went wrong, didn't have one to ask ! I don't know I was a very confident young woman , I modelled at art collage both for photos and clothes I was a bit of a madam I suppose pretty and I new it sometimes , but I lost that when I married and now with all the fibro etc , I can't see how anybody would be interested in me ,little bit of nonsense on here ok , but I haven't really got anything to offer know ,
Of course you do! I enjoy our little banters and I am sure there are plenty of others who do as well Don't let fibro rob you of your confidence, that little madam is still in there, she just needs coaxing out
I'll second that. Don't do yourself down. Behind the fibro and the rest you're still that Chris, and don't you forget it XX
Now we are talking! Bletchley sounds great and I can fir all of those topiary in there?
Loads of space, and a pond, well lake, just behind the photographer
There were a couple of suicides in that pond you know ,it's a bit creepy at night π»
I didn't know that? Sounds awful.
It was something to do with a couple of the chap being gay I think ,and a breakdown. They don't mention it on the tour ,but it's in the history somewhere obviously it was such a big help in the war ,that's what they talk about , still an amazing place , the enigma machine etc .
Thanks that is quite interesting as I had not heard of it either x
And Lorenz (if that's the right spelling)
We treated gays abominably but were still happy to benefit from their contribution. Alan Turing for example
Indeed ,people are awfully to others that are different sometime !
Don't I know it. I have a lot of sympathy for those who suffer discrimination, and mine was quite mild in comparison.
Even my dad wanted me restrained by tying a hand behind my back (school, too)
My crime? being left handed
My teacher did that to me, something are done left handed where they let me be at home ,grandad and dad were both left handed , but school was different, my son is ambidextrous he's fine different times thank goodness on most things.
