HI claralove

Just what I need thanks. I have stopped all Lyrica and started Topamax and OMG I can honestly say that the Lyrica worked extremely well. I can't remember the last time I felt so poorly and no matter what I do I can't sleep. I even listened to my talking book which has never failed until last night!

Presuming the headaches and itching all over is also due to withdrawal symptoms.

I am using TENS machines, heated electric pads and eating soup and drinking water.

Am seeing the Dr on 23rd to follow up how I am doing so if itching and insomnia ( worse than usual ) persist will mention it then.

Needless to say I have a quiet week planned next week!

Soft hugs to all

Scotty

Yeah hopefully the withdrawal will settle soon..that's a nightmare ..I'm just bk from pip assessment.. Not sure how it went..but whatever happens.. I'll just keep putting on foot in front of other lol...needed a positive picture to remind me..I'll make it regardless.. As I'm having a bad flare brought from medication or a virus..or stress..so I'm resting and hoping it will settle soon..x

Why did you stop if I may ask?

Hi

I put on 3 stones and have elevated blood sugar. So I asked my gp a few times and he said it was my diet not the Lyrica. So I saw a different Dr and she changed the Lyrica for me.

Do you take tramadol? I was on it for years and was going insane with itch. The only cure I found was ice packs. I was then weaned of it and the itch has gone. I used so many itch creams that now I find my skin very dry but if I put cream on I start to itch but not so bad.

Soft hugs

Hi

No I used to take Tramadol for 5 years for shoulder pain but had awful withdrawal symptoms and swore never to take it again. I am on Co Codamol, Fentanyl, Naproxen, Amitriptyline, Omeprazole and now Topamax.

I looked back at your old post on itching and read about Rosehip oil so may give that a go. I am sure I have some E45 cream somewhere too.

As you can see still not sleeping!

Anyone running Friday night Supper Club? πŸ˜‰. I have Ben and Jerry's calling me but can't eat dairy as it makes me itch and I am itchy enough!!

He45 helps a lot more. It has hydrocortisone in it so go easy on it. I also found the mosquito pen good and used to put it all over my arms . Good luck.

Hi again

Thanks. I am off to look for the cream and will get the OH to pick up a mosquito pen. Not heard of it before? Presume you get it from the chemist?

Hugs back

Yes its just a wee pen you rub on mosquito bites. I found it great when itch was really bad but stinks something awful.

Soft hugs

Was it the tea tree oil one as I found that better for insect bites than all the chemical ones?

I just used the original one but tea tree has healing properties to didn't know you could get that.

Best wishes and soft hugs.
