I've been diagnosed with FMS since Jan 2015

E I've noticed I'm slightly getting worried what it could be ? ..... But I am trying to conceive with my partner so in thinking am I pregnant but I've had 2 children and I don't feel pregnant so I'm now thinking could it be due to my flare up of fibro ......

Please I would love advice from other fibro fighters

Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. Since you are trying to conceive it is probably best to discuss your medication with your GP as many of the Fibro medications are not compatible with pregnancy. If you have only been on the same medications since diagnosis it is more than likely that they are not working for you and need looking at anyway?

I have pasted you a link below from our mother site, Fibromyalgia Action UK relating to Fibro and Pregnancy, I sincerely hope that you find it useful:

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with trying to conceive and I sincerely hope that your Fibro flares do not last too long for you. Please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi ken

Yes my doctor is aware of me trying to conceive and hasn't took me off anything until I actually get pregnant....

As for medication my pain clinic doctor have said there's nothing else he can give me as I'm on the strongest but part of me don't believe......

My Medication

Gabbapentin 900mg

Fentanl patches 37 mg (2 patches 1x25 & 1x12)

Paranormal

Ibuprofen

Thank you for you reply and help really grateful

Try Epson salt baths for pain or try heated stones along the spine , or have some one rub ur feet n hands there are spots there that helps with pains elsewhere in ur body. Also there is some all natural pain cream that helps wonderfully. These r the best medications if u r trying to get pregnant. All the stuff they have u on will cause birth defects. Sometimes they have to gradually take u off the meds then put u back on because ur body is to use to the meds and they don't work for u.

You are on some of the most powerful pain medications but many members would say that Pregabalin works better than Gabapentin or that Oramorph works better than Fentanl. I really think that we are all individuals and as such different medications work better for each person.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Thank toy Ken again I'm unaware of what pain killers are bed or not best I've tried oramorph and it did help but doctors says fentanl is stronger so he kept me on that even tho while in hospital I was on oramorph but this is something I can talk to my doctor X

Respect your help thank you and mat your future be pain free or at least computable x

Perhaps you really could be pregnant, even tho' you feel different! My pregnancies were as different as night and day ~ totally ~ so I would not rule that out. You might want to check soon, so that you aren't taking meds. that you possibly should not be taking.

Best wishes on your "path to parenthood" whether now or later, and I hope that you find some relief very soon from your extremely difficult Fibro flare ...

Gentle hugs, bk
