Has anyone had any experience of the impact of having their big toe fused ( because of arthritis) and the effect of that on their Fibro? Apparently , recovery time in a boot or cast can be 12 weeks, so off your feet for ages. I am really worried I'll seize up and never get going again as moving really helps with the pain of Fibro.
Hope you are as well as can be expected. I've had quite a good summer- the weather has suited me and the fibro and arthritis have been much better.

That's great news. there is so much negative stuff on the web about it but as someone said ' it is the people for whom it did not go well that are sat around posting, the others are getting on with life'
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are facing this kind of procedure, and I sincerely hope that it all goes really well for you if you go ahead and have this done? I am so genuinely sorry but I do not know anyone who has undergone this.
I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
I've just had a toe fusion too and also have fibromyalgia. There's not been any impact on my symptoms and the surgery is healing at the normal rate - total time for full healing is a year but obviously you're back to full mobility at 12 weeks.
