Just to let you all know my doctor has written a letter of support for my blue badge application. I will let you know how it progresses. Thanks all for your comments. Hope you all have a good day!

Wow. You're lucky. My GP wouldn't do a letter for me. He said GPs aren't involved in the process any longer.
I was given some useful advice for my walking assessment. Someone may be watching when you get out of the car to walk in. Also make sure you are using walking aids (I was using a stick anyway) and even if it is one of your better days walk as if it is one of your worst. I was assessed by a lovely physio who told me there and then I qualified even though she wasn't supposed to.
My council makes virtually all applicants go for walking assessment but you might be luckier with yours. I am sure you will get your badge. Good luck
Good luck with it all. I know it is the councils decision now but when I did mother in laws form they rang me to arrange for her to go in and be photographed and said there was no need for her to have an assessment because of what I had put on form and the Gp doing a letter of support briefly outlining how her medi al conditions affected her mobility.
Fingers crossed for you let us know how you get on.x
I'm lucky as I automatically get one as I currently have the higher level dla, don't know if that will change when I have to be reassessed for PIP but I shall keep my fingers crossed, it is awful that we have to jump through hoops to get what we are entitled to.
I wish you lots of luck in getting your blue badge
The very best of luck xxx
Thank you all your comments and support is much appreciated.
That is wonderful to read, and I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with getting your blue badge.
All my hopes and dreams for you
