Hi itsssss meeeeee I would love some help

I got a letter this morning saying that I am going to get a medical person to my house to do my assessment on the 1 October . I only sent my forms in about 3 weeks ago have you had PIP medical done so fast from putting your forms in helppp please

hi their if your pip forms was sent three weeks ago that is very fast have you requested a home visit if so don't worry just be honest about your disabilities and they will just be checking what you need, if you don't understand a question then ask again they will know that your nervous so just think of the answer before your answer if you see what i mean take care keep in touch let me know how you got on bigalan

that is the point I never asked for a home visit . they have just done that themselves. think that is why it is a bit scary to be onest silly I sat in courts I sent in court managing reports and her I am getting all worked up with a person coming to my house silly me it all just seems to fast for me

I believe it is according to whois doing the assessment as I know that the one firm I believe it is Capita does home visits rather than make you go to an assessment centre so you should not worry about that. I am glad that you have an assessment so quickly as having to wait for one is a horrible feeling.

Just explain how it is on your worse days. If you can have someone with you that would be good. Best of luck and please let us know how you get on. It might be good to keep a kind of Log diary where you can note down your day to day difficulties as you could show them that.x

Yes Rosewine, I think mine was Capita and I had a home visit that I didn't ask for.

Think it only took 3 or 4 weeks for them to visit but took a good couple of months for the decision.

like you say - just be really honest and don't try to exaggerate, just explain good days and bad days and that you only have good days because of the medication you are on xx

I had a home visit for mine and I really preferred it that way, it was a female nurse and as she come to mine she could see hand rails on stairs and rails in bathroom that ot requested and bath seat, so any adaptions or equipment can be seen, I tend to stay in pjs a lot and was still not dressed when she arrived so she see me how I usually am, my cleaner was still here as well lol make sure you have all medication out and any more supporting evidence to give them and I hope it all goes well for you xx

I have not personally been through anything of this nature, but I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with your assessment. I can see that you have been given some wonderful replies and I think they are worth reading and acting upon!
