Really I'm going to check into that because I have noticed that my fingers hurt and you know with fibromyalgia you have like 16 or so trigger points, but sometimes I hurt in other places than the trigger points like my knuckles or my feet and calf muscles and back of my legs and I know they are not the "listed" trigger point and I wonder if that could be the same thing thank you for sharing. I have been diagnosed with chronic neuropathy and that was after I had surgery on my l5 and s1 so that could probably be the problem with my legs but there's no reason that my fingers would hurt like I'm a hundred and thirty years old and their crippled up but in real life I am 40.

I think fibromyalgia is almost always associated with other issues. My diagnosis was four years ago with another diagnosis of chronic neuropathy in my legs and migraines, and two other things but I can't remember right now lol but anyway I guess my point is fibromyalgia is kind of like arthritis but worse because it can get you anywhere and you can also have so many other diagnosis with what fibromyalgia brings on that you can you can have a list of probably 20 things but they all go back to fibromyalgia-like IBS or headache sore muscle spasms or backache you get my point but I'm definitely going to check on the osteo because my hands hurt me so bad

Thank goodness you have at last got a diagnosis at least you know what you are trying to live with now. Yes I have the same two as you as my main 2 illnesses. To be quite honest half the time I don't know what is causing what pain and I am still praying that va fairy will suddenly appear and wave her magic wand and it will all disappear.

What treatment are you going to have?

Hi thanks for your reply!!

He told me to carry on with naproxen and increase the Neurontin to 2 3 times a day and go back after 6 months to see how things are doing. Try to exercise doing Pilates yoga and swimming to help .

I have heard that Tai Chi is the best for fibromyalgia patients. I tried yoga and I could not move my body for 3 days afterwards. I am glad that neurontin is working for you unfortunately when I tried neurontin I develop tennitus

permanently in my right ear and then gabapentin and I had another adverse reaction. So I'm stuck taking narcotics at this time but I am seeing an actual pain specialist and we usually have to change it up about every 3 months just to keep my body from becoming used to the medicine and needing high doses of one he'd rather that than go up. We just go to a different medication. So far it has worked and Dr is trying this method with his other fibromyalgia patients. For now I am taking a fentanyl patch 25 for every three days for pain with a breakthrough oxymorphone 5 milligram and

those are both the lowest doses of those two meds. This doesn't include my behavioral therapist meds. He has me on klonopin for anxiety, effexor for depression, and silenor for sleep. I also have for spasms soma and lidocaine patches that are awesome., they are like the size of a postcard and you peel and stick where you hurt and you leave it on there for up to 12 hours and it is unbelievable how it helps better then all the strong stuff.

What it feels like is a high pitch sound that does, not ever stop. You can only put it out of your head by talking or clapping or make a noise to disrupt it.

But don't do that around others, they may think "whats wrong with the person talking to themself, clapping, and humming"! Ahh run!

Water based exercises can be very good as you are not having so much stress put on your joints. I had 6 sessions of hydrotherapy and I really found the exercises beneficial but very hard work the first 3 times. Have you tried acupuncture? X
