i think you do right to complain about atos and the way you were treated its like they punish us or having health problems that they have no idea about they have the wrong kind of people doing the assesment some of which is deliberate we should not have to jump through hoops to get benefits i have been watching benefit cheats and i get so annoyed that they get away with it or so long.keep us posted on your claim best wishes.x
I think you are right to complain definitely it's just the timing. Would it be better to see what the outcome is then use complaint to change that if needed. Or to put it in as part of the descion making process.
I'm sorry I don't have an answer as a tricky question and I have not had the pleasure of PiP yet!
Wentalked about the timing but we decided to do it now, then there is no sign of sour grapes.
Even if the results came back in my favour it wouldn't make a difference at all.
It's not about results one bit, it's about been treated like a human being.
And if the results come back bad I can still submit this letter as proof to the DWP that I had complained before I new the results makes no difference at all.
I have never done anything like this before but I am not letting it go un noticed enough is enough that's why I am going to my MP and if needed the papers.
Fully respect and understand where your coming from.
Personally I think once you've had a Drs Opinion, been seen by hospital consultant it is belittling to be put through an assessment by someone, usually a physiotherapist, who has no knowledge or specialism in your condition.
Fire it off then try not to worry about it. We have basic human rights that the government is trampling on. They cleverly hide behind the law and wording of things to confuse and abuse. It makes me very sad that the morality of these individuals allows them to treat some of the most vulnerable in our society this way. We must all speak up, especially as there are many who cannot for themselves.
