That time of the month again!....... To fill my medicine box, what a nightmare.
Pills for this, Pills for that......my brain was bursting.
Took me an hour to sort out & can only hope for the best.
Got onto the recliner chair afterwords to recuperate with a cup of coffee, until I noticed it was 12.45pm PANIC STATIONS ! I had an appointment at the surgery at 1 pm.
I was like a mad woman stumbling around trying to get ready in time.
Got to GPs, sweating, shaking, and feeling sick to my stomach.
Sat down, got my breath back and waited, and waited, and waited until the nurse asked who my appointment was with.
Well you guessed it, I was a week too early. It's for next week. Grrrrrr!
I've now decided to leave my brain to science to see if they can make good use of it.
I laughed with you not at you as it is an awful feeling. I hate the pill box filling ritual I have to do a spreadsheet to keep track of mine, had to order them today and praying I have got the maths rights.
Well only one good thing about today at least you did not miss the appointment. I hate to think what science would make of my scrambled grey cells.x
Oh well it is par for the course for us lot isn;t it good job the majority of us have a sense of humour about it and it keeps other people amused. Hope you remember next weeks okay and get on alright.x
Oh ... I totally forgot my Pain Mgt Doc appt Monday! They usually give me a reminder call, but didn't this time! I'm not blaming them, but unfortunately, I've started relying on the calls. And I say unfortunately cos I get a *no-show* chg now =(.
Nobody to blame but me, my bad memory ... and not putting it on my calendar. =). Won't do THAT again!
I am so genuinely sorry to read all of that but you really wrote it in such a funny way that it made me laugh (sorry). I did this once myself a long time ago as my appointment was for the following day. I didn't half feel daft! I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck for next week.
I don't think science would want mine or any other part of my body!! My daughter gave me a smart phone for Christmas and I am so happy she did! Of course she had to teach me how to use it! It sure has made my life easier! I put everything in it. My appointments, when my meds need refilled, my reminders everything!!!
I got up early yesterday and got ready to go and have my blood test. Fortunately I checked the card before I left, it's today! So got to do it all again. Doh π
i stick appointment letters and cards on my bedroom door with bluetack .low tech and cheap. all because too many days are the same so not always down to brainfog. als liked your humour best wishes.
