Yes in the ideal world it's sounds lovely, but and its a big but husband almost 70 me nearly 66 my two goodie and Gordon setter, two 8 year old boys two girls one 5& one 6 their dogs pug and Ladradoodle, and water don't mix. It exhausts me just to think of it, boys upstairs making dens girls makeup and nail painting session and then all icing rich tea biscuits. Me to bed early tonight after warm bath.

Art and crafts!! I have taken a big peace of plastic and lay it on the floor or kitchen table. Get some old tee shirts and get out my craft stuff. And let kids make old shirts into something new! Kept them busy for a bit and I could sit! Supervisor mammy!

If all of the above fails put their favourite DVD on then have a question and answer game about it afterwards......takes some more f the built out if letting them watch a DVD

I wish I could magically sent you my favourite game Carcassone which would keep all of them an you occupied for ages, sadly I can't of course. I think you've done the right things sending boys off to make dens, and of course little girls lovely having nails done 😃😃😃 You could expand on the den theme and ask them to make a den that would be a safe place for the little girls, then the girls could go and have fun in the den with the boys being on guard to protect them from the imminent attack of a green dragon,🐉🐲🐉🐲 and they can play at slaying dragons.........just an idea !!

If all else fails how about a colouring competition (with all of them winning prizes of course) if you have paper and crayons to hand, that can be very time consuming 😀😀

I'm alive, brain dead completely exhausted but happy that children went away thanking me for having them, that's all I hope for and glad that I have grandchildren that love me. So I'm alive and will relive it all next week.
