Haven't written a anything for a while but been reading your posts. Has anyone been on steroids for your fibro?I've been having another flare up the last few weeks and been trying to manage it myself with my tablets but today enough was enough and I got a docs app. The doc gave me steroids to take for a week as he thinks that they will help. Been in a lot of pain and struggling to walk. Got my pain clinic app later this month and its the first time since I've moved to England which was nearly 8yrs ago so this will be interesting.
Sorry for rambling on and I hope you all are ok or s well as you can be.

On those now! I have a appointment with a neurologist Monday! This is not my first go around though. I get injections once a month. But sometimes I have to get the pills in between.
I am so genuinely sorry to read of how you are suffering and struggling and I sincerely hope that your steroids work for you.
I take 10mg of Prednisolone daily but for a different medical condition and they do not help with my pain levels I am sorry to say. However, as we are all unique individuals we all respond and react differently to our medication so I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with yours.
I was on steroids for 3 years due to lung condition which was finally diagnosed in 2011. They help a huge amount with conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis, anti- inflammatory conditions. If I could I would take them every day because they reduce inflammation, less pain in joints, breathing properly etc. but they make me so hungry all the time and I've put on so much weight so that's not good either. They also improve mood etc. I'm allergic to Aspirin & Nurofen type meds (that's not spelt right but I cant work it out). I'm really tired. Anyway, I do take them now and again but only for short term. I'm sure you will notice a difference quite quickly. Tulip xx
