I have suffered with fibro for over twenty years it has been under control most of the time except when I have a flare up. My latest flare up has been the worst ever I have pains in places I never had before, my legs are the worse and it is getting very difficult to walk I have a really tight feeling in the back of my legs as if they are being squeezed tight and my knees are sore also. The pains in the top of my arms has traveled from one arm round the shoulder to the other arm and up the back of my neck which is causing headaches they are also burning hot. I am finding it really hard to carry on working especially mornings as my medication takes so long to work if I start at half six it's not till about half ten that they start having any affect. I have tried for the last three months to get into see my Doctor without success until last week when I got a day to see her only for them to ring me later and cancel. All I want is a review on my tablets because the ones I have don't seem to be working any more and I am taking shop pain relief as well I don't like to have days off but they are getting that bad I don't think I can go on much longer.

This problem with seeing your usual Dr. , is she particularly good therefore popular? Have you tried asking for a telephone call on the basis you are having a really tough time and urgently need to discuss meds. because your appointment was cancelled. I feel for you very much, 3 months is a long time to go on like this. I dont know what demands your work is making on you apart from starting time, or how you stand if you were to take sick leave and see your GP as a matter of urgency. Everyone has a cracking point, and all due respect to you for lasting 3 months! Best wishes.

I am so genuinely sorry to read that and I sincerely hope that you can get an appointment soon. I would be tempted to visit another GP just to see what can be done in the short term? I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
Al my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
I agree with everyone else that that is a ridiculously long time to wait to see a GP. May be worth emailing or writing to the surgerys practice manager and explain what is going on. Like all public sector now they are not allowed to have more than so many complaints, and whilst it remains unlikely in these times they are supposed to give you an appointment within 48 hours. Also try the practice nurse many are now nurse prescriber and if not hopefully would squeeze you in to see the Gp
Hope it gets sorted soon.
How long does it take for the doctors to give you an appointment.
If your pain is really bad and its rule'in your life and theres no other way phone your doctors ask for an appointment if you dont get in to see him within 24 hours tell them you need a home visit there'll soon give you an appointment if not that day they will the next because they'd. Rather give you 5 mins of there time instead of having to fill out forms for an hour say why you wer'nt given a appointment. I know how bad pain can get and worse of all is when its all over your body. I hope you get the help you need.😊
