Hi, I’ve endured the pain and swelling of my knees for almost 3 years now, but I’ve recently been struggling to walk as my legs are so heavy, it’s like I’m trying to wade through quick sand, I’m presuming this is a part of fibromyalgia but I’ve been like it now for almost a week and I’m feeling so inadequate and even more depressed than I’ve ever felt. Someone please tell me this is temporary and I’ll be able to get out of my bed soon as I’m going crazy. Thank you in advance. ❤️

Heavy legs and swollen knees
My legs have been like it for a while, it's like they don't want to work. Hope it gets better for you x
Hi hun, Thank you for your reply. I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, it’s like a living hell! Is it just a flair up or is this the way I’ve got to get used to existing. Xx
I wish I could answer that, for me I've gotten used to it but still hoping it'll improve though tbh I'm worrying about the winter months coming up x
Hi, sorry to jump in on someone else’s thread but I am sick of feeling achy, particularly in my knee joints. Right now its both my knees and my elbows and wrists. I‘be had blood tests in the past and an X-ray on one knee and was told no concerns and minimal signs of arthritis in knee. I’ve been going through some stress at the moment, my mum had Covid which has left her with an irregular heartbeat, I’ve failed my college exam for work and had to re-sit it awaiting results. We’re having extensive work done on our house so there’s loads of noise and disruption. I really want to get to the bottom of why I feel this way but the doctors don’t seem to be taking me seriously. I feel right now like I’m 92, not 42!
Thanks for your advice I appreciate it. I didn’t realise the best time to go for blood tests is while you’re in flare ups. My grandma had rheumatoid arthritis and I’m sure my mum said she gets it too. Not sure whether it runs in families. I don’t know what it is and thats what makes it so annoying. It goes and I’m okay again then its back and I’m hobbling around. I usually hear crackling noises in my knees when bending them, eg walking down or upstairs etc. I feel like I’m wasting the docs time when I go but yes you’re right I do need to go back to them.
I will do, thanks again for your advice 👍
Hello , my legs are very heavy and swollen feet there been like that for 3 years but as silly as it sounds ..i went to gluten free bread and then other gluten free items and my legs feel better funny i know and i dont wht it has to do with fibromyalgia. .but it does work try changing just your bread for a week to 10 days see if your legs feel a lot better ...
Hi hun, thank you for your reply and advise. I’ll try that thank you. I’ve had a lot of stress lately with my daughter being autistic and suffering from depression, she self harms. She cut at her wrist last Monday with a scalpel she’d ordered of Amazon for her art work, I wasn’t aware of the pack of scalpels, but fortunately they wasn’t deep, she needed to release the pain inside she was feeling by cutting herself!!😥. This happened last Monday and I started experiencing the heavy legs on the Thursday so I’m suspecting it’s due to the stress as fibromyalgia loves stress, doesn’t it. Xx
