Hi there for the past Month I have had so much pain in my feet ankles and legs, the pain gets so bad it fetches tears to my eyes, does anyone else have this problem. I have had Fibro for 7years and was woundering if it has anything to do with it. Thankyou x

Hi Gilly,

Yes, my feet, ankles and hands give me a lot of pain. Early mornings are the worse, I honestly dread getting out of bed. After I take all my pain meds and have a hot shower, then I start to feel a bit easier.

I try to keep moving as much as possible during the day, and take frequent short rests. When I sit down, I always put my feet up and do ankle rotations and stretches.

It does hurt, but I have managed to keep my pain within manageable limits and am relatively mobile.

I have RA as well as fibro, and it's hard work keeping on top of it, but persistent small efforts do seem to pay off.

Please don't make the mistake of exercising hard or for a long period, because that will do you no good at all, but try the small and frequent approach and see if it helps you.

Moffy x

I get the same from fibro. Id say speak to your doctor and ask what exercises may benefit you, depending on what type of pain it is and where it is precisely (i.e. throbbing/stabbing pain in joints or tingling/shooting pain in nerves/muscle).

If the pain is in the muscle doing things like stretching could exasperate it. Until you can see your doctor I'd say have some warm baths and take some pain killers. Good luck x
