Hi guys,

I'm curious to see if cutting certain food groups have helped with your symptoms? Been researching into this and thought what better way to research than ask people who may have tried this? X

I'm intolerant to everything I eat! Currently doing the FODMAP diet as the doc and a nutritionist recommend it for IBS. It does help with IBS but can't say anything for Fibro yet... Good luck!x

I found cutting down my artifical sweetner helped especially one called asparatine

Hi, I am conscious of diet products as I no asparatine is bad. To be honest I think I need to get my food/eating habbits under control, iv gained a couple of stones through med's and of course not being no where near as active as I used to be. X

I've put on loads of weight through comfort eating and bordom. By request of my Dr I have taken up swimming once a week. It's not a lot but it does help

It's a vicious circle - eat because were hurting and coping with it all :-( good for you swimming is great, easy on the body to.

Roughly 3 years but have only diagnosed last month tho by my own research I've known for a year what I had and had to push my gp to do the right test to prove it

Mine's been around 3 years to but I didn't have a clue about fibro didn't even no what it was... I just thought I had loads of different things until I told the doctor I hurt everywhere! Do you find you can't do as much physically. As the years have gone on? X

I don't find it changes from year to year but day to day yesterday I was dancing around my kitchen to Taylor Swift and today I have barley been able to move off my sofa.

I have many food sensitivities and allergy to nuts and beans, which I have been tested for in hospital. I think the most reliable thing is to keep a food diary over a long period and see if things improve whilst eliminating certain foods then reintroducing them, I would suggest this is done with the knowledge of your GP xx

I know when I tried a diet a few years ago some girls on it had fibromyalgia and their symptoms disappeared I am giving it another go now not sure if it's ok to say which one hopefully no one minds but it was juice plus I lost 31/2 stone on it but then got pregnant and had post natal depression. Between bought I put weight back up as post natal ment meds and they blew me out but had to get my mental health right before worrying about my weight again so just started day 4 today hoping it will help with fibromyalgia symptoms.
