Certain symptoms

I know I have already written a post this morning but I have recently been diagnosed and I still have an appointment with the neurologist to come which I'm concerned about certain symptoms. Does anybody experience the following... I sometimes get pain in the right side of my body including my face, and it feels quite tight, my eye becomes watery and my face becomes stiff and I have pins and needles in my hands. Sometimes I will be almost sick with the pain and unable to move my head as it Feel heavy. I'm not sure if it's a migraine and I'm aware of the symptoms but unable to do anything when they are present.

Thank you

Ann marie

I do get tight muscles in my face/ neck/ head but it can be either side or both. They can become extremely painful at times. It does sometimes only happen to one side but not particularly the right like you.

Just bring it up to your dr to double check if you are worried.

Good luck. ×××

I think you should go and see you're dr just as a precaution you understand .Fibro has so many odd little things going on but and I do it myself all the time we can tend to blame everything on fibro and we might miss something if we are not careful .Let me know how you get on .xx

Hello Ann Marie

You are very welcome to post as much as you like with questions or queries.

What you are describing could be a Fibro symptom, however it could also be a sign of something else.

It is very easy to put symptoms "just" down to Fibro. We usually say to members that any symptoms that are new to them should be checked out by their GP.

I would definitely mention this to the Neurologist when you see him/her.

Please do let us know how you get on.

Good luck

Lu xx

Thank you everyone. It's nice to know that now I'm diagnosed that I'm not the only one and that this is real. I know fibro is a hard one to prove and having been like this for years and finally have an answer, it feels I'm double checking everything. Xx

Hello AnnMarie what you describe is fibro related, my son-in-law gets his pains in these areas, the tightness you feel in your head is the muscles at the back of your neck enlarging/inflamming up causing migraine, I get migraine this way, it wakes me up, I rarely get it in the day.. My consultant Neurologist prescribed sumatriptine which helps enormously, they kill the onset of the neck tightening feeling before it gets into a full migraine, a number of people of this forum use this, maybe discuss this with your gp. All the pins and needles you feel are because your blood flow is affected by this tightening.. explain it this way to your gp and ask if sumatriptine would help for a while. good luck let us know how it goes.

I am so truly sorry to read this my friend and as the others have said it is worth having this checked out just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
