Has anyone heard of using basil oil externally . To rub on as a muscle relaxant, or massaging on your temples for a headache? I am getting desperate for pain relief and tired of taking pills. Want to try something new to me without spending to much money. Any suggestions from anyone?

Apparently there are a lot of plants that have"healing" parts to them, such as the oil of the plant. I have also heard of emu oil. Which can be for numberous parts of the body.
I wasn't researching hemp or cannabis oil. But you can get any number of different oils at Amazon.com.

Cannabis oil is legal but can be hard to find. It's effect is uplifting and relaxing. Yes, hemp oil is the same thing and it's much easier to find under that name
Hi I actually havent used basil oil but I have used a funny little bottle /jar called Tiger balm. Basically by rubbing gently a little amount on your forehead and temple you will feel a warm sensation the capilleries open further and the knots causing the headache goes away. Doecsnt always work but well worth a try
x ginsing Oh or hot and cold back alternately can do it too!
Basil oil is good for use as a massage oil for aching muscles, so is rosemary. It can be a skin irritant and must be mixed with a carrier oil such as almond oil. It also aids concentration. It must NEVER be used during pregnancy
I have fibro and a torn muscle in my shoulder. I used to have injections into the shoulder which were painful so I turned to Emu oil. It's brilliant. I massage it into the shoulder a few times a day and it really gets rid of the pain. I can't recommend it enough. I don't get the injections any more. It's also good for aching muscles of fibro. I buy mine from ebay and make sure it's the Australian make. Three bottles for around eleven pounds. There are no side effects so you can use it as often as you like.
I use Caspian cream. It is based on extremely hot peppers you rub a pea sized bit in and it gives a slight warm tingle then five minutes later you can feel the muscle relaxing. It is like an extremely powerful version of the Tiger Balm mentioned. So has to be prescribed but it is natural and works, not for internal or broken skin. Oh, and make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before going to toilet!
Cannibis oil is on Amazon but it's expensive. Emu oil is ok
It did not work for me but every one will be differient
Capetian is hot I had to wash it off be careful using this
If you have heart problems
I should think rubbing peppers on your skin would work as
