CBD oil
I've tried it and it works for me. Try asking for a sample from CBD BROTHERS
I've heard of many people finding it beneficial. I'm sure any possible side effects will come with the oil. I have seen it in local pharmacies & alternative health stores alike.
I've just started using CBD Cannabis Oil (not hemp) and so far no ill effects at all. Still working on finding the right dosage and possibly combining the CBD with a little bit of THC for enhanced pain relief because I'm not finding much with just CBD at the moment, but the only real issue I'm having is that I find the taste quite unpleasant, and the fact that it's so exorbitantly expensive - I should probably be taking a higher dose but right now my recommended dose is running over £500 a month and I cannot afford that so I'm trying to make do with what I can afford at the moment.
That being said, I'm also very sensitive to meds (Cymbalta landed me in the ER on my first dose) and I've had no issues with cannabis oil, but hemp is a bioaccumulator and there is anecdotal evidence that some people can react badly, to toxins etc that the hemp may absorb, when using CBD hemp oil - which is compounded by the issue that it's not regulated at all, so it's hard to know exactly how much actual CBD you're getting, if any, when you buy CBD hemp oil over the counter. I think it's definitely worth a shot if you can find a reputable high-quality product, any little bit of relief helps!
I’ve heard it’s best with thc. Alas it’s illegal in uk, we have to use hemp cbd with no thc
Yeah, I'm in Canada so quite lucky that we have access to medical cannabis, it's regulated etc so you know exactly how much THC and CBD you're getting and you can try different strains and combinations to find something that works. Hopefully it passes in the UK soon! I've heard of many fibro sufferers getting relief from a 1:1 TBC to CBD ration.
I would agree about over the counter hemp oil. On examination it contains very little cbd . I buy from a source which uses plants especially bred to produce good amounts of cbd but very little THC. So the THC is not removed but is never there in the first place. Health food shops rarely have CBD oil of such quality.
It is expensive but I only use 2/ 3 drops of mid strength oil daily.
I have never had any side effects.
The yucky taste can be removed by a bit of fruit afterwards. It's also possible to get capsules or suppositories.
There is a good Facebook page where users will advise on types and dosage. Well worth joining for anyone contemplating trying CBD

Thanks for your detailed reply. I too had a really bad reaction to Cymbalta and ended up in hospital after taking cocodamol so very wary. The stuff I have only cost about £25 so shouldn't be very strong. It probably won't hit the pain but maybe help . Anyway I really appreciate you taking time to give advice. X
I’ve used it, like you I’m very drug sensitive. I didn’t get on with cbd brothers drops as they are suspended in hemp sead oil, which is a known allergen. It gave me headaches. Extreme fatigue and dehydration. I’ve tried the pills though and they are fine.
If you have Facebook there are cbd and fibro forums there. They have pinned posts about good suppliers including uk ones. The people on the forums will help answer questions x
Thanks a lot. I'll try a Facebook page to get more info. Couldn't bear another bad reaction! X
Hi there, Just reading your Post & replies as I suspect the CBD oil I've recently started taking is responsible for the mother of all headaches I've had for days. How did you get on?
I’ve been really unwell the past few days too. I don’t know if it’s the CBD oil, the tramadol or just me! I’ve joined CBD Users UK and CBD oil users uk. Both these sites give you loads of information on CBD products and how to take them. When I feel a bit better I am going to try 1 drop a day ( not enough to do much ) but might start to get my system used to it. I’m hopeless with any meds though CBD is not a med. I hope this helps and I hope that you have success with the oil. I would love to keep in touch and know how you are doing. X
Ps - what strength did you start on? I have Simply CBD - the green starter one which is 250 mg
I’m sorry that you’re having such a bad headache. I don’t know if we’re too sensitive or have to build up slow and low.
Hi there mcglada0
I'm so so sorry, I actually wrote a pretty long message to you which took ages as wasn't feeling too great & nearing the end of writing my phone did some kind of crash & wiped it, i nearly cried! (I most likely did as 'simple everyday' stuff like that which was once so easy seems to get to me most!) I was too knack'd to rewrite it at the time, so i made a mental note to reply to you... Then had a flare up & had my own 'crash'!
I've started back on CBD oil about 2 weeks ago at a lower dose (4mg twice a day) & so fast so good. You popped into my head when taking my last dose...so maybe it's fixing my memory a bit??!
Just to let you know I appreciated your messages, the time & thought taken to write, & for caring enough to message me.
I hope things are good with you & life it's going your way xx
Thanks for your reply and very happy that the CBD oil not causing any problems . I think it’s really important to start low and slow even though we feel impatient to step up the dose. Evidently too much can have the reverse effect! Good luck with your journey. I’m still persevering at a very slow rate. I got some thc oil but don’t think it agrees with me. 😞. A pity because this is the one that can really zap the pain. Xx
