Anyone found any comfy fibro friendly summer shoes? I have small narrow feet but I struggling to find anything to fit which are comfy and supporting too. Any suggestions, I'm 33 so not looking for granny sandles like my mum wears! Ta

I have narrow feet as well and have just bought shoes and summer trainers from pavers. I wear their shoes all the time for the support and com fort. Good luck

Fancy trying the sketchers memory foam ones I've seen advertised, but they're £50 too? But I suppose you have to pay for comfy shoes!

I have just bought these and they are heavenly! Yes a bit on the pricey side but I have learnt over the years to my cost that it not worth buying cheap shoes.

They are light weight and super comfy 😊

I know my mum find some lovely shoes in pavers but I'm 33, have 2 young children and am way too young for granny shoes, no offence!

Hi, I find Hotter shoes soooo comfy, no matter what the style, but there again bit expensive, but I save up for a new pair, well worth the money, they do have sales. My last 2 pairs I had were from a charity shop, never been worn size 4/12 fitted perfectly, I paid £4 for 1 pair & £5 for the other, proper price WS around £40-50 a pair, lucky or what. Off you go then, get around charity shops if you can! Good luck.

xx

Sorry i cant help , i have the opposite problem. Most of the time my feet are swollen and then they will go back to almost normal so i have to buy sandles with adjustable straps or lace ups that would normally fit a baby elephant. :(

I seem to have joined the club too, elephant feet :(

Got a lovely pair of summer shoes with a bit of a heel so they are not totally flat with a velcro tab, my daughter picked them out for me and they are reasonably fashionable :)

Pinky, purple sandals for dry weather. Black boats for when its wet. Oversized trainers for general wear and black flip flops with a black silk flower for the odd dress up days. Oh and dont forget my Turkish slippers with a pom pom on the toes. i have had many strange looks when opening the door whilst wearing them, :P i dont care i like them and they are warm and comfy. :D

in reply to

That's it, I am slowly learning that comfy comes at a price, be it in the purse or the fashion stakes :) My heels are slowly being put away. I have two weddings and my outfit demands heels for both so my feet just better play ball and put up with them or I am going to smile through sheer hell :)

in reply to

I have seen really pretty flatties designed for the bride to wear after the main ceremony. Pity i didnt pin the site.

in reply to

I have chosen lower heels than I would have normally wear :) my feet and legs are just playing merry hell with me at the minute so I suppose I am just wary of my choice. No shoes for the evening could be an option. After saying that sometimes I am actually better if I am not in complete flatties as it put less pressure on the arch :)

in reply to

Legs and feet are ok but my arms are giving me some stick.

I have been given my nephews old folding chair and we took it with us yesterday, So whenever hubby was looking at other tents i was playing around teaching myself how to use the big wheels. I didnt spend long doing it but i think that was the pain trigger. :(

in reply to

That's a pain :p

Seriously, is the chair hard to maneouver or is it just a fibro thing.

in reply to

I dont really know, ive never used one. To me the only advantage is that hub doesnt have to struggle to get it in and out of the car/ house.

Just found a way to make cheep tent carpets. Any fabric that you have around . shower curtains and iron on hem webbing.

Now to find some cheep fabric all i have is cotton bedding.

in reply to

Argh! Lost my reply.

What about old curtains, second hand shops sell them reasonably priced :)

in reply to

I think that we will get our old rubberized ground sheet for now and cut it to fit where it is needed.

Dont really want to spend any more money yet a while. :O

Third time lucky!

You have your head in the right way, make do and mend :)

From a male perspective I love a canvas shoe called ''Hobbo's'', they really are comfy to wear. I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Nike Comfort Thong sandals (why don't they call them flip flops?? Haha)

They have the squishy gel that feels really good to walk on. I wear them around my house instead of slippers. Any other shoe makes my knee and hip hurt and then my back and everything else starts complaining too. I wear mine year round when I can get away with it!

Good luck and happy shoe shopping!!!

I love the look of flip flops but I can never wear them because they rub between my toes. So annoying! Hotter do lovely shoes but I struggle to get the right size and end up sending everything back to them...it's much easier to go to a shop and try them on. I've just about given up on heels too. I have one pair of shoes with a tiny heel for when I want to look a bit more elegant but otherwise I slob around in trainers or crocs-style cheapies from Lidl. Comfort is everything nowadays :)

Anyone know if pavers do narrow shoes found some online but its says comfort fit but it doesn't say what this means?

I swear by fitflops expensive again but last. I saw beautiful sparkly sandals yesterday but can't wear flats anymore. Not sure how they are for narrow feet or what fits they do as mine are quite wide x

I live in Toms as soon as the weather gets warmer. They have a really supportive comfortable sole and I love the fact that a pair of shoes is donated to a needy child when you buy a pair. Not the cheapest on the market but cheaper than Sketchers and (in my opinion) much younger looking. I have a pair that are still going after three or four years so they last for ages.

Yep. Sketchers with memory foam. Off to buy some more now, in a shoe style. The foot pain is awful! Also going to buy memory foam inner soles, so i can swap them into different normal shoes. See how that goes! Xx

I just got some GlitterFlops (memory foam/just like the FitFlops) with rhinestones on them ... and they are expensive, too. The more embellishment they have, the more expensive they are: But I got the tiniest amount of "bling" ... so they were the cheapest ones. I have hardly taken them off since buying! You wet them down to renew the memory foam and they become brand new again! I do believe they've stopped the pain in a joint of both my feet that I'd been experiencing occasionally ~ I've not had it since getting them a month ago! To me, they are worth every penny.

I'm in Texas, USA, so it's warm here almost 9 months of the year ... !!! We joke that we wear pearls with our flip flops (or cowboy boots!)!

Oh, yes ~ I have plantar fasciitis, too ~ no hints of that, either ...

I found heavenly sandals which I like wearing at home, they have a wedge boat shaped very thick sole, like MBT's. The insole is memory foam and though it has a toe strap (flip/ flop style) its just so comfortable. I bought them from Sports Direct, and they're inexpensive. They are not smart sandals more a casual sporty type and so much better than Fit Flops.
