I am finding bras feel too tight too - dig in my breast bone particularly when sitting in a comfy chair.
I have pain between my shoulder blades and feel as though I can’t get my breath. Does anyone else feel as though they can’t breathe?

It might be an illfitting bra, or you're just too sensitive for what used to fit comfortably, or you need to start rolling your shoulders back so your bra sits the way it would on a mannequin - it's a good practice to start that opens up your rib cage and helps with postureI'd suggest getting fitted first but there are alternatives, genie bras for example
bless you x I wonder if you can try boody ones they seem soft and they are made from bamboo x
Hi I have the same problem . I went to see if I was wearing the wrong size but I wasn't, I all so find that I have days were my hole of my skin on my body is in pain. So on days like that I just wear loose clothes. X
I think you will probably need to rethink your bras. Getting professionally fitted is worth doing, if you are able to readily access such a service - to check you are wearing the correct size and discuss options that are likely to be more comfortable for you. Depending on your size you might want to consider bralettes/sports styles and basic cotton bras rather than anything underwired. I have switched to the former but I am fortunate to be very small chested. This also means I can comfortably go without when just relaxing in the house, but perhaps this is worth trying to see if this improves matters even if you are larger?
There could also be a postural element here if you have a tendency to slump slightly as the evening wears on.
Hope you find a good solution!
I started having same problem a few years ago and tried all sorts in end stopped using my underwire bras and started using none wire made from soft stretchy material and sports bras
I stopped wearing underwired bras years ago, I just found them too uncomfortable, I am rather large busted I wear 44G so sometimes snuggle to find one to fit anyway. I did find one finally on an online shopping site called Genie it is front fastening wide straps and very comfy.
I can’t tolerate bras at all or anything tight. People are amazed when I say I wear strappy vests size 14/16 but buy tops/ jumpers/dresses size 20 or 22. I have to be comfortable or I’m miserable. I do keep trying soft ‘step in’ bras but usually end up ripping them off after 5 minutes. Nic xx
Some very helpful replies from members, I did go too M&S too get fitted by someone there, I was way out measuring in lock down (tried doing it from info online)I was surprised at the softness and support of the 2 bra s I purchased , very reasonable as well. I did have too book online before going into store .Differently not into any wired bra s anymore, they say too reset your straps after a couple of washes which I know we can forget too do .x
Hi I'm now wearing cotton bras that fasten at front so comfortable i suffered like you not the full support as a bra but I'll never wear a bra again after finding these
