Does anyone have the feeling they are choking?I choke on my food and drinking but its worse at night when im asleep...it is getting worse as it wake's me out of a sleep gasping for air and feeling like someone has grabed me by the throat..even swallowing my seliva chokes me an i bounce up in bed feeling like im dien...IS THIS ANOTHER AFFECT OF FIBRO:? I FEEL LIKE THERE IS NO END TO THE EFFECT'S OF THIS HORRIBLE ILLNESS !!!

Yes i get this sometimes and i make sure i have water by the bed ,i too sit up or get up a little worried too , but i didnt think any more of it , thought it just another fibro thing !
yes i have noticed over the last few months i choke on food quite often which is very scarey .. i am due to see my doctor soon and was going to mention it .
Yes iv mentioned this to him but i feel like im talking to a brick wall Christine.He said to me its the fibro like every other thing i go up an tell them.I had to tell them i want to see a neroligest because i havnt seen one from being dignosed in 2004,I go in the 14th here so i mite mention it to them as im jus gettn fed up being told constanly every thing is fibro :-((
To tell you the truth im begin to sound like a broken record to myself so i give up..
I find if im lien on my back its worse and it is more frightnen at nights esp wen home alone,the doctor told me it was panic attacks??? I said how can i take a panic atack wen im sleepin?..i have had them in the past and there a compleatly a differant experance..
I experience this quite a lot and my GP gave me a nasal spray as my sinus's are inflamed, not helped though. Apparently I've also started snoring as well!
I'm off back to GP this week so will update with any more treatment
i'm new here and just wanted to say i wake up choking and gasping for breath ,its so scarey at night ,my G.P says its panic attack but how can i paninic when sleeping .
I have been choking a lot for the last few months whilst eating, just blamed a lot of it on my really dry mouth caused by the meds, but it is frightening
Hi all, yes I too suffer the totally parched throat, especially at night, yes it's frightening to wake up coughing. Eating now is getting a lot more difficult, swallowing is harder. Fun this Fibro isn't it.....not :{
