Since the age of 13 I've suffered debilitating pains throughout my body. Back then it was (early 80's) it was put down as 'Growing Pains!' I now know that to be complete rubbish.
Six years ago I was diagnosed with having Schuermann Disease from early teens, along with arthritis and Fibro. I have a few ailments, Depression, Gastritis, IBS, Chronic Fatigue, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis to name a few. Feel like I'm the oldest 40 something ever known.
I try to keep my humour and as you probably know it's not always easy to remain positive. Hence why my search has led to your group.
I would appreciate any information on meetings etc you could throw my way to help me to remain mobile, independent and positive.

Gosh, sounds like your journey to diagnosis was not only long but fairly complex with these other conditions to contend with. Hope you have a good GP and get the healthcare you need now. I had a family member who was told growing pains for years and it wasn't until they saw a younger GP it was investigated much more fully, it seems older Doctors used to say this quite often!
Would it be OK if I post a link to Schuermann disease?, as I'm sure like myself most of the community will not have heard of this condition
Please can I provide you to a link to our website about independent Support Groups for Fibro;
I too was told growing pains in the 80s and was diagnosed with FM in 2005 at 29 years of age. I was a care assistant for the elderly and lost my job because of it. I'm trying to get back into work but it's hard but my family and my furbabies, 3 dog's and 1 cat keep me on my toes
