Fancy a fundraising challenge this year? If you start a fundraising page for FibroAction with Virgin Money Giving you could win a #PamperPackage in their competition. Your page lists your event, is a easy way for people to make a secure donation & highlights your fundraising achievement to others. :)

Interesting in fundraising for us but stuck for ideas? We have some ideas on our website in our Get Involved section, link below;

Another great way especially for people living with #fibro to help raise finds might be to approach Supermarkets about a Sponsored Shopping pack, most are more than willing - a popular one with a green logo seem to encourage these events a lot. You could get a bunch of friends together & they could start a page then agree a challenge of 24hrs maybe - A #fibro friend or yourself with Fibro may find the easiest way to be involved is by sitting at the end of the checkout with another friend to take part in the event and set a 3 hr slot or whatever you feel you can manage without being too fatigued.Collect donations on the Virgin Money Giving page & receive donations of small change from the customers who have had their shopping packed too! All adds up! :)

If you'd like a Fundraising pack containing a free pair of Awareness wristbands, please email us using info@fibroaction.org and let us know what your fundraising plans are! If you are doing a Supermarket Pack you may need more leaflets .We could also help tweet the event using the link to your fundraising page & promote more interest ! :)

Sound all a bit too much for you? But you'd like to help ! Did you know we can take text donations? If you can pls send a text: FIBR10 followed by the amount £ to 70070. Or you can use our Donate button here on HU. A BIG Thank You for any amount you can give :)

FibroAction is 100% dependent on voluntary donations & fundraising, this means your generous contributions will help us continue to provide information & support to people living with Fibro.

We appreciate every bit of support you give to help us in the fight against Fibro.

Together we will beat Fibro!

Thank You in advance

Emma :)

Probably not but a very indulgent pud. I am cordon bleu trained and had my own tea rooms/ restaurant for nine years, but it completely knocked the stuffing out of me. :o :o

Wow! :D You try to make me believe you are not multi-talented and I just know you have many gifts and talents. :D

The food service industry is very, very demanding! :O

Nine years is a very long time in that type of business.

Congrats, Foggy! :D

Hi C_H, you are completely right about the food service being very demanding !!

I actually ended up having to give up because it had drained me of everything physically, the hour's incredible - it's lucky it was my own business so I didn't have to answer to anyone about my decision. Sadly the chap who bought it together with its reputation, managed to drag it down and he had failed miserably in the first year. I have kept out of it after that, but I see that someone is still running a tea rooms, which seems to be going quite well !! 😀😀😀

It can be sad to watch the reputation go downhill, after so many years of hard work. :( Yet, there's nothing you could do about it, either. Glad tea rooms are going well! :)

That's a very tough business; I hope you are proud of your accomplishments during those 9 years. :)
