Welcome back bobby :)

Sorry to hear you're sciatica is playing up have you tried any topical pain gels at all?

Your GP could possibly prescribe you one that you can use alongside any oral medications you already take.

I use Voltarol on my lower back/hips pelvic area to help me and find it helps to lower the pain significantly enough so that I can move about easier as it reduces any inflammation. However I'm not a medical professional so cannot say that this would work for you but hopefully there is something specifically for you out there :)

Soft fibro busting fluffie hugs for you {{{{{ Bobby }}}}}}

It's always lovely to see members come back and remember there's always someone just around the corner who may be able to help :)

Hi Sian and Thank You for the lovely welcome Back

Really need it at the moment.

How are you

My Doctor gave me Feldene gel but doesn't seem to help

Much I think I will as him if he will prescribe voltarol gel because

That is diclofenac I think.

I am having Alexander Technique lessons which releases tension

In the body helps a lot sometimes

Many gentle Hugs & Lots of Blessings.

Hi Bobby :)

Diclofenac is a problem for me too. I can't take it orally as it upsets my IBS and I'm allergic to one of its ingredients, I also cant take Naproxen for the same reason.

I haven't heard of Feldene so may give it a code of looking at :)

I spoke to my GP about Voltarol and it's diclofenac content and he said that yes, obviously we absorb the diclofenac but it shouldn't affect me too much as it's only a small amount as long as I monitor it and use wisely there shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I always know when I need to take a break from using it, I think we automatically know don't we!?! Remember, it is your body and no-one knows it better than you...... it's impossible for anyone else to know it better.

I hope the Alexander Technique helps you and I hope you'll keep us updated with how it is working for you so that other members can read about it and maybe even consider it for themselves and ask their GP's about it :)

Take care and look forward to an update xxx

Hi Sian, my back hips and down my legs were keeping me awake last night but too scared of the pain setting off my RLS to get out of bed for pain relief.

When i did finally go for it, it had eased enough lying down not to hurt so bad.

Oh the relief getting back into bed after two tablets and an application of Voltarol.

Hugs sue

Yeah I have similar issue to you and the relief is wonderful when you get it :)
