The past six months have been hard. I go down hill during winter. Husband bought me a sun lamp, which has helped. My elder sister bought me one of those things that help you put socks on and my mom bought me a tipping kettle, so much easier on sore hands! Been having lady problems and have been put on hrt. I had my second assessment about three weeks ago and am still waiting for the results. Struggling to learn how to truly relax, any suggestions welcome. Extremely soft hugggggggzzzzzzz to all.

Sorry not been around
Soft and gentle hugs back to you St_Bridie Goodness you have been through it these past months, winter is so difficult, especially the gloomy days.
Sounds as though you have some very thoughtful relatives, every little gadget and way of doing things really can help.
I am not so sure about the relaxation problem though. It tends to be whatever my mood is! I do like being taken to the seaside, sitting in the car, or outside a cafe and watching the world and his wife go by. Other times I don't want to see anybody and just to relax on my bed with the radio on or a favourite CD. Having a giggle on the phone with my best friend and putting the world to rights makes me feel better too, I am a bit fickle aren't I
Hope the HRT does it's job for you and you start to feel chirpy again soon.

Hello St_Bridie I was very pleased to hear you mention a sun lamp and that it helped during the winter. I had a tough time last winter and have just recently purchased one for dull days and the winter.
Wishing you well
Jacqueline.
Hello St_Bridie
How lovely to hear from you
Thank you for the lovely post. Hugs always welcome!
I am the same as you and struggle massively in the winter.
It's great to hear what has helped you. I would love to have a light box (sun lamp) but they are very expensive.
You have a wonderfully supportive family.
I hope that now we finally have some sunshine that you will continue to feel a little brighter.
Wishing you a peaceful evening and hugs back to you too.
Lu xx
Hi St_Bridie
It is absolutely wonderful to hear from you my friend. I am so truly sorry to read that you are have been suffering and struggling and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck. I am not very good at relaxing myself, I just tend to sit outside if the weather is nice as I love being in the garden. Please take care my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi St-Bride.....I find reading, puzzles, sketching, painting all help to relax and take my mind off Fibro....also I enjoy Radio4 programmes when in bed....Do you have a hobby? I also listen to relaxing music which takes me on a journey in my thoughts....I hope you find something for you soon....Gentle hugs xx
I make costume jewelry, read, colour and do word searches. Outwardly I seem relaxed, but subconsciously , crazy....
Hugggggggzzzzzzz
Glad you are finding props to help you. Have a look for Mindfulness on You Tube, great teachings for relaxation. Jon Kabat-Zinn is a favourite.
