New Year's Pain...

I'm noticing that every year is the same for me. Same pain same depression same dislikes.....

I want to dictate my New Year's Pain this year for myself.

I want to wave a magic wand and say "hips today you won't hurt.... You will handle the weight of your own shoes and out run granny today"......ha...... Yeah right.....

Honestly I'm sick of NOT Dictating and allowing my pain to call the shots. All my shots.

If anyone out there has a thought or ideas... Etc.

I'd love to hear from you...

Morning Lo76 welcome to the site I have not met you before, It is one of the very hard aspects of having Fibro - but you can make things better you sound like a fighter well it is time to take yourself in hand you may find positive self talk will help divert the pain a bit. It will also make you feel more in charge of the pain.

Fibro pain can come and go with out much notice and I see in your second post you talk about exercise, well this has to be in moderation when it hurts for goodness sake stop that is your body telling you not now. Time to rest and relax relaxation therapy is one of the very best ways of coping with pain.

As a new member have you read our regulation if not please do take a look.

Be gentle on your self it is not your fault you find yourself in this position waking up to fibro!

Try and put your energy into calming the pains not making them more intense!

Very best wishes

Hi there. you have found a good place to learn from others the best ways for you. What works for one person could be agony to another. Be kind to yourself and be patient. I notice from your post that you have had fibro for some time, hopefully we can give you ideas and help in ways that you you have not thought of.Have you looked around on our mother site? if not here is the link fibroaction.org
