I applied for pip in August and haven't heard anything at all, I tried for DLA two or so years ago and got a flat refusal but this was before my fibro diagnosis came through in 2013..
I'm not pinning my hopes on it but I wondered if anyone else has managed to get it awarded with fibro, I'm on really strong meds (140mcg) transtec burprenorphine so I'm hoping it will help..
I'm at the point where I'm sick of fighting for everything, so I wondered is anyone else getting pip based on fibro and did you manage to get in the SG for esa as I've been in the WRAG for 6 yrs...hope you don't mind me asking.. Happy new year to you all...

Hello ,yes several of us have been granted PIP. I was awarded the enhanced mobility and nothing for care. It took almost a year to come through.
Hi Yes I was awarded both components but I have other problems as well as fibro that directly effect my life. I applied August someone came to the house early November and it came through Christmas week . I hope you are successful be patient I believe they have a back log that the are endeavouring to sort.

I had my pip assessment in December, didn't get anything - as well as Fibro I have osteoarthritis in hips, knees, hands, feet and facet joints, x
Thank you, I also have issues with my spine, have several disc prolapses in lumbar & cervical on top of fibro....how can they justify it taking a year? Sunnygirl2 that's so rotten, I feel for you, this illness is debilitating, I don't know how they can refuse to give you anything x
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I know of quite a few members that have successfully been awarded PIP, so I want to wish you all the best of luck with your application.
I was awarded PIP at the enhanced rate for both care and mobility. As well as Fibro I have other medical issues, including back problems, arthritis and others. I applied in Dec 2013, had my assessment in April 2014 and got my award in May 2014.
