My latest tapestry

Now that I have hopefully managed the art of sharing photos, this is my latest tapestry which I have just had framed. It is of Lynmouth, North Devon, one of my favourite places.

Thank you. Need the fluffies today as aching all over and cold; hope I'm not getting another virus.

It took quite a while to finish the tapestry as I did it in fits and starts and got sidetracked by another one. I do belong to,a stitching group, but not a lot gets done when we meet!!

It's lovely.

Thanks for sharing.

Do you have a magnifying light.

I would like take up tapestry again but can't see the canvas.

You will be able to revisit your favourite place now.

I only choose tapestries which are large enough to see without magnifying and where the design is clearly marked. This one provided a chart which helped with some of the smaller bits. But if I couldn't face the fiddly bits either worked on the larger blocks of colour or another one which is more straightforward.

Used to love cross stitch but my hands aren't good enough now for the finer needles and it's hard to follow the charts.

Thank you. I was never much of a stitcher but took it up as therapy after I had my stroke and got hooked. My husband says we are running out of wall space!

It was a kit I chanced upon on the net, but I loved the bright colours so bought it. It did take quite a while but I'm glad I persisted. My dad usually gives me money for Christmas and they have a lovely one of Loch Lomond...

Golly, well done you panda, that is lovely and I knew where it was before I read what you had written. It's a place I like very much and used to go when I had visited friends in Dunster.

It must have taken you a long time to do so beautifully, such talent, I wished I had, but sadly don't ..... ho hum !
