Hi,
I take them and find them helpful and don't suffer with side effects now, they made me a little tired at first but that soon wears off. Hope you get some relief with them. X
I tried them for a short time for nerve pain, years before I got FMSA, think I'm going to start on them in Jan as my Rheumy suggested it for Fibro. x
Thanks for your help.xx
Hi bvlgari
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I have not used this medication myself but I have pasted you an NHS Choices link relating to this drug, so I hope that you find it useful:

I want to wish you all the best of luck with this medication.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi, yes I was prescribed with Gaberpentin years ago by a neurosurgeon for nerve ending pain. However, when I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a rheumatologist a few years ago he changed Gaberpentin for Pregabalin, and it helps me sleep as well as a lot of other things, if only I knew what the " other things " were!!
Hi, I have been on them for the past 4 months. I now feel "normal" and have very little pain. I'm still not sleeping great but it is much better than before I started taking them. Persevere with them and hopefully they will work for you.
Good luck.
Karen x
I am going to be starting on it in the next month or two for my FM pain. I was afraid of the side effects due to existing health conditions, but my doctor says these are rare. I certainly hope so because I would love to have more than the dumb medicines they won't give me an increased dose for. Pain and pain --->>> anxiety, sleep loss, worsening of symptoms that keep you from activities. Aach. I hope it works for you.
Hi.
I take Gabapentin. They do help. It's just getting the dosage right. When I first started on them, I was on a low dosage and it didn't touch the pain, then the GP increased the dosage and it was too strong for my stomach. They go from 100mg to 3.600mg, the GP steadily wanted to increase the amount I took to 2.700mg per day, way too much for me.
But we're all different, see what works for you.
