Fibro and gout

I am in a great deal of pain at the moment in my right knee and ankle. This started in March, took the summer off and has now returned. Last time the doctor suggested it could be gout as I already have it in my hands and feet. I am now having blood tests and thankfully as I only had my last blood tests a couple of weeks ago these can easily be compared. Is there any one out there with a similar problem?

I have fibromyalgia and my poor mum has gout or did until she was under a rheumatologist who put her on treatment. I have never seen anything as red and painful as her ankle .fibro affects my knees and ankles but no redness not really much swelling where as mum had massive swelling and could hardly weight bear . I don't know if this helps but gout can be horrendously painful hope it eases soon love Squeak xx

I have no redness or swelling in my leg as I get in my finger sometimes but this is much worse than the usual pain I get with fibro. I did mention that Sussex County Hospital now has a fibro specialist and ask to be referred to him. Not sure if she will or not.

I have fibro and osteoarthritis in.my hips knees and hands the knees and hips drive me mad at night like now I am still waiting to go to sleep my hands are bad to turn taps or open things I was queried gout in my fingers. My dad has gout in his foot but has been on allopurinol for years now and as long as he takes them he has no problems he will be 75 on the 20th of this month and us up and out walking early every morning my mum was 74 on the 3rd and they both live a very active lifestyle walking lots and involved in groups they are healthier than me lol. They've been married for 54 years on April 1st next year. So hopefully if it is gout the Drs will be able to give you something to settle it down. Good luck

Hugs to you
