Hi. Im 27 and had back pain for about 10 years. I try and work through it as best i can but sumtimes its impoible for me to work. And its becoming more regular im off work. Im not sure if its fibro i have. But my wife is convinced. As i get sore heads really sore back. Leg pain. Wrist pain. Neck pain. Insomia. Heartburn. Sore throat. Swollen ankles. Sweats. Mood swings. And feel exhausted nearly every day. After i eat a meal i feel really sleepy. And ive seen myself fall asleep almost strait after eating. Ive had physio therapy and it makes me worse. The doctors say its just muscular and give me painkillers but most of the time they are rubbish. Ive got a young family. I have an apointment with the doctors to tel them this is what i think i have. But i think theyl say the usual its muscular and tel me to continue with my physio thats definately making me worse i was just wondering if it could be fibro or sumthingelse.

Hi Tatsyirboi

I am so sorry to read that you are in so much pain and discomfort and not really getting anywhere with a diagnosis one way or another. I would be very tempted to see a different GP and / or register at a different practice whereby you may ascertain a more thorough investigation?

I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FibroAction:

fibroaction.org

i want to wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I agree entirety with The Author, go find another doctor. You obviously can't go on liike this. I wish you good luck in finding the right doctor. My thoughts are with you

Hi, check out Ankylosing Spondilitis. Especially if it's lower back pain that ails you. Keep your mind open, it could be many, many things.

Hi Tatsyirboi,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with your doctor. Sometimes with G.P.'s you really have to push. I had symptoms for 5 months before a doctor referred me to Rheumatology. At that point I had been through every partner at the practice (6 doctors). You need something doing and you need it now. Just giving you painkillers is not the answer. First of all you need to insist on a full blood screen to check there is nothing more serious going on i.e. worse than Fibromyalgia. There are a number of things that it could be but you definitely need an answer. I hope you get this sorted soon for the sake of your small family:-) All the best!

Thank you mikeymoo. Im just back from the docs. Gave me stronger painkillers after getting me on the bed and checking my reflaxes my left leg barely moved. Aww its sciatic pain. She said come back next week. Thats a doc ave not saw before. When a said all my syptoms and thot it was fibro she never answered and went onto sumthingelse. Next week am not moving from the surgery till theyve sorted me with some kind of info as to what it can be and an apointment or sumthing for a specialist. Sick of it now. Ukwahine. This time its lower back feels like emmence preassure. Plus my regular middle of the back and bottom of neck pain im getting but i will check that out thank you

Sweetheart, all they need to do is test you by checking all the tender points. I didn't even know I hurt in other places until I was checked. It's a miserable illness but they do have meds that can help. Probably a pain clinic is in your future and sometimes it takes awhile to find what medicine or combo works for you, as we all react differently to meds. I hope you get the help you need and find some relief from your suffering. It sounds like fibromyalgia to me!!! Hang in there honey, you are not alone!!! xxx Mitzi

See a rheumatologist for a straight answer. They specialize in fibromyalgia.
