Hi everyone,
What different types of pain do you get?x
Hi Magnetta, to be honest there are a variety of pains to choose from. The worst is the all over aching pain, where i feel like a walking bruise. Then there are lectrical like pains i think this is nerve related, it kind of shoots down my arms. Sharp stabbing pains could be anywhere, presently stomach.Spasms, knife twisting sudden pain, tight muscle pain goes with stiffness. Oversensitivity, where slightest touch is agony, ie cat walking over me. Costocondritis, heavy painful feeling on chest, affects breathing. Stiff, solid pain in neck feels like a brick wedged in neck. Tingling and sharp needle like pain in fingers. Migraines like head exploding, with stabbing in head, ears eyes, all bones in face utterly sensitive, feels like I am just a skull, with electric lightning flashing through head. Agony of painful cocyx, which means trying to stand after sitting on nonsoft chair feels like cocycx been whacked with a metal bar. I am sure there are many more but cannot think of them at moment and have in fact depressed myself listing these,

Hi magnetta
This is a very interesting question! I would have to say a cross between burning and achy throb! But it depends where I am having the pain at that time? I do have sciatic nerve damage which does feel different.
I hope that you find the answers that you are looking for.

I can only describe the onset of pain, (usually starting in the afternoon through to a small window of pain/fatigue semi free hour 9-10 am) as that knowing your childbirth labour has started , that feeling of dread , knowing what's coming . Believe me it's utterly exhausting and tries desperately to grind you down . I am a very determined person and my off the cuff remark is ... I'm not going to die of it . Therefore I keep my mind stimulated
I am thankful for every little thing .
What was the question again .... Lol
I've learnt to be open about cognitive impairment / fibro fog and laugh at myself . I find it helps people understand me and not to keep looking for the person I used to be. Xxxxx be kind to yourself xxxx
Thanks so much for your replies.
I haven't been diagnosed yet but think they have run out of other possible diagnoses.
I would describe mine as similar to a hamstring stretch - it burns/pulls/throbs but from head to toe and constantly and much worse!
Also I have the coccyx pain that's shazzy describes - had it for years before any of the other pain started and just thought I was a bit odd!!
Wishing you all a low-pain day if possible! xx
dull, achy, sharp, burning, stabbing, shocking, I have get it all it just depends on what is hurting. and what is flaring and where
I feel very humble now, reading all your pain issues because they so relate to my own except for the migraine like headaches one of you describes. Before I started on Levothyroxine 125 mcg. I was desperate and just did not know what was wrong with me and where to turn, in fact it took a while to get sorted out, but one day I just got lucky in my choice of doctor on one of many visits to the local surgery. She listened to me for once and did all the necessary blood tests and monitoring every 6 weeks until I was on the correct dose of Levo, I now feel great again, got loads of energy and the rest is history. Perhaps your symptoms are not as straight forward as mine.
I wish you lots of luck as its not great feeling like that all the time. You must go back to your doctor.
Geez, that question is loaded. Lol, mostly a chronic aching and soreness, plus I hurt to be touched. And that doesn't count the IBS and RLS and OA I have.....the lists seems to go on and on. Hope you are well, and have a wonderful weekend sweetheart!!!! xxx Mitzi
