DLA Doctor Visit

Disgusted! Received doctors report as I am appealing decision to read "believe pain is overstated" think he should come and walk in my shoes for a day! Has any other members been through this process with FM and DLA?

So sorry that you had to read those distressing comments. I had something similar with ESA when I was asked to push my leg against the nurses hand and at the time was in so much pain the sweat was literally dripping off me with the effort of trying to comply with what was being asked of me. When I too asked for the report I had "did not appear to be trying".

At my atos exam, I was asked to squeeze the 'nurse's' fingers. When I read the report, she'd written that I had, "lack of effort in the left hand", this hand being the worst affected by OA! According to her, I just wasn't trying!

We all have different pain thresholds and deal with it in some many ways. I was in ICU in 2008 and the doctor asked my wife if I had a good pain threshold as he could not believe the way I was dealing with my pain with my damaged lungs?

I think at sometime most of us have had some comments made from atos doctors, hospital doctors,i dont think they actually sit there and write about everyone i think they hand other people a load each which they quickly read through make some comments mostly negative then on to the next because when you think about it if they wrote a report on every patient they see they would not have time to go and play golf,holidays in the sun, dinner with other doctors doing the same thing with there reports, i mean it makes sense as surley they must have seen how you are so why would they write you can run a mile jump a stile it has to be someone else or it means they are doctors getting paid a fat load of money only to ignore what patients are telling them over and over again if it was'nt for the likes of patients they would not have a job yet we are treated with disrespect and get away with it i think it is called discrimination they write lies about us to other people and no one does any thingabout it in the goverment dept. why are they doctors believed when they say black is white is it because the old fashion thing of doctors dont lie yea now i am laughing the same as politicians dont lie, men of the cloth,even famous people they all dont lie haha seen the news lately even judges. The thing is when you go to a tribunal i think they have already made up there mind before hand they sit there like they are special with there little fingers on a button called POWER & GRANTED sometimes if they get out of bed the wrong way that day they press POWER to put you down if they are having a good day its ok lets PLAY your wish will be granted they seem quite up their back sides in most cases but i think in life the saying goes Life is full of _ _ _ _ when you think of it so always look on the bright side of Life ok i know i am going now had my moan

These people really are ruthless when I had doctor come to me bout 3 years ago, I applied for DLA & got turned down 3 times !!! I got up off my chair to take papers from her hand, & like others in report it said, I was able to reach for the papers !!!!! The crafty c*w even came back n knocked after 5 or so mins on door saying she thought she'd left her pen!!!! They try alsorts just to catch you out. Its so wrong. I'm just waiting now on decision from PIP, so everything is crossed xx

I'd change doctors as one that's not compassionate and hasn't a clue is not for you sweetheart!!! xxx Mitzi

My own gp supports me great - the was Dla doctor sent by department to see what I could do without pain or discomfort JOKE!!

Lol my esa assessment was cancelled 3 times and my better half had already sent letter to complain about the treatment we received and i had a call from a gentleman saying that my treatment had been terrible

from the start he also said that my next appointment would'nt be cancelled..

My assessment was'nt cancelled this time but the dr was'nt going to help me so zero points received, and what he wrote was lies, he even said that my eye test was fine but i did'nt have an eye test, he also said that i sit in the garden for up 2 hrs without moving and this one is a gem he said i did'nt have yellow smokers fingers,,

I'm so mad i offered him all my up to date information and he just said no its not needed i have all the info i need, and then he throw the paper i had filled in a year ago and did you do this, i said and it took me along time then he said well you can go, and i was dismissed within 15/20 mins.

Another complaint letter is on its way... Who do these people think they are...
