Good morning onshanti

Glad to meet you.

It's a bit of a pain to say the least about this cough lingering. I drink lots of tea and ginger to help alleviate I will linger for a few days then off it goes again only to reappear in a few weeks perhaps less I'll play it by ear I guess but I'm taking advice from fibromites to perhaps see gp again even maybe I'll petsue a second opinion.

Thanks and take care of you.

Good morning to you :-)

I hope Canada land is as lovely as I remember, I was near London Ontario !

Just a thought on your cough front, we are all being encouraged here in England, by television adverts, to go to the doctor if we have had a cough for three weeks or longer, so could I suggest that you see your GP asap. Also really good luck with your rheumy apt., :-)

Hello my fellow Canadian and fibromite.

I'm in Edmonton Alberta Canada I did live in Ontario for awhile well in kitchener waterloo.

About the cough it not persistent I was at my gp yesterday he said it was the air.

Its a dry hack I do use an inhaler at times just in case but this little dry raspy voice comes over me and then goes away its been off and on for the last few months. They just say go not to sure what that could be probably the air that's what I get I do work around lots of paint products and other irritants so I believe that to be a partial factor.

Have you had this kind before and if so why do they recommend in London you see a Dr immediately. Just wondering.

Thanks for the response from you and I'll definitely be keeping a closer eye on the cough. Perhaps a second opinion is a great idea.

Thanks again. Take care ofyou.

Hi there again, sorry to disappoint you but I'm not Canadian (sadly) but had great friends in London and spent a long time with them on holiday one year, so I love Canada and very nearly emigrated there, I ended up in Devon England instead which has been great, but I have friends who've moved to Vancouver Island and desperately want me to visit, which, Fibro allowing. I will do one day :-)

Happy morning :-) :-)

Hi sweetdreams1234

I am late as usual, as it is nearly dinner time here in the UK! I have a cough all the time but it is to do with my Asthma and COPD. I keep telling my wife that I am on the woman-o-pause as I have terrible night time sweats. I leave a fan on all night and in the morning I go straight into the shower as I am so hot and sweaty, and it feels gross!

I will say one last thing, as I am English I do not have the coffee, I drink tea!

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi there Dr WHo fan.......being English doesn't preclude you from drinking coffee in the morning, I could no sooner drink tea first thing thank fly to the other side of the moon :p You may be able to do so in your Tardis but I certainly can't hehehehe :d :d :d

Good morning ken and Julie

Its been awhile.

This is what I believe it to be ken the cough ...asthma related plus the work environment.

However I will get it recheck. I love my tea too ken morning coffee and lunchtime its tea all the way...love my tea.

Originally from Newfoundland Canada and being Irish perhaps I love my tea too.I presently reside in Edmonton Alberta Canada.

Take care of you both and see you probably tomorrow morning at breakfast.

Hi Sweatdreams, i get bothered by a dry raspy cough which sometimed goes into knd of choking. I believe it is due to my asthma being triggered by something in the air, it can be paint/glue fumes, perfume, air fresheners, second hand smoke. Because their are so many triggers it happens unexpectedly and out of blue sometimes, but also lingers till chest feels better again.i also had same reaction to some drugs, so be mindful when changing meds it could occur. Hope this is useful to you,

Hello sweetdreams I am also from Canada in Ontario, coffee tastes great to me today to! :) I haven't had a dry throat but I have had dry mouth maybe its from your meds, have you switched them lately? or taking new vitamins?, maybe you are drinking a new juice or switched some thing in your diet? My Mom always questions me about new things in my diet when ever a new thing pops up. It may take some time to figure out but think back and see if you have eaten some thing new, changed any type of soaps shampoos even laundry soap can have an affect. I hope this helps, you know Moms are always right lol
