Hello jacksie, Why not try a compromise and lower them very slowly. Then see if you can find a middle way. where the pain is bearable and your mind is clearer.

It might work and if not at least you can tell your doctor that you tried.

Hi Jacksie, i had same problem with gabapentin, i decided to change to amitriptyline, my consultant had suggested it for migraines but i know it is used for fibro too. This is much better for me, i am no longer confused all the time, can remember more and have a working brain, the pay off is my pain levels have gone up but i can cope with this using relaxation and deep brearhing, i wish you all the best

I would try to reduce slowly, know I am happier when not taking so many drugs. meanwhile make notes / lists to help with memory.

Hi Jacksie

I don't take this medication but I do suffer memory issues. My GP gave me a dementia test it gets that serious. What my problem has been put down to is chronic fatigue causing confusion.

If yours gets this poor it may be worth discussing some alternatives with your GP.

Take care
