I've been told it will make me feel sick for a few days which I really don't need but it's supposed to help with my fatigue which is out of control at the mo so much I'm worried of being on my own with my babies as I just drop off.
Just wondering if the pros outweigh the cons.
Thanks all much love. Xx

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today. I have never had this, but I genuinely want to wish you all the bets with it.
Hi Ken I hope you are doing ok. I have so many questions but my main concern is mixing this med with my others as I read that you shouldn't take them together.
Medication interactions can be quite tricky? Half the time the only way to know is after you have taken them, which isn't good to be honest? When I am in doubt I always ask the doctor, but it is bank holiday so they will be closed?
Hi there do you mean sertraline, they are anti depressants, I have fibro, ra and depression and I take 1/2 tab morning and night, they are 50mg. It helps me but is a low dose so I probably should take 2 a day. If this is the meds you are talking about I think you will be fine with your children on this dose. wishing you well
Thankyou for your reply do you take any other meds ? I take amitrypline and tramadol and my migraine tablets which looking at the meds notes you shouldn't mix with it.
Hi again, just wondering why your doctor is putting you on sertraline when you are already on amitriptyline as this is an anti d as well. You are quite medicated and no doubt feel abit drowsey already. Currently I am only on sertraline and a sleeping tablet only as I have stomach issues going on from all the meds in the past. Talk to your doctor about all of this. Can I tell you I had migraines for 12 years straight having morphine continually and anti vomiting meds, finally I happened to see another doctor as mine was unavailable and he took me off all fruit, all fruit juice, all sugar and coffee and tea, NO SWEETS OR CAKES AND NO ALCOHOL, for six months. Within a couple of weeks no headaches at all.
Perhaps you could ask your doctor to do a blood/sugar test and see if this is whats causing the migraines. Like you I had young children , who saw there mother with her head down the toilet vomiting nearly every day. wishing you well have lots of rest and please keep in touch. Trish
You might find the sertraline and try to go without the amitriptyline, obviously you would need to tlak to your doctor, sertraline does not have a sedative effect on me but good for the depression and perhaps the fibro as I can no cope with the fibro. again I wish you well but as you say you dont want to be doped up as that feeling is too hard especially with children.
Thankyou it's so confusing I really feel horrid today lots of pain in so many places. We're supposed to be going to a friends later as it's her birthday but I really don't feel up to going as I know there will be loads of people their and the Fibro conversation will come up then you either get the that's a made up illness or the sympathy are you ok, please sit down don't over do it. I just want to be treated normal. I can feel my anxiety rising just thinking about going, but also I don't want to let anyone down. Xx
Hi Tinker! I take Sertraline 75mg a day. Luckily I have not experienced any side effects with it....but that's just me. It is an antidepressant. Amitryp can be given as an aid to sleeping as well as a painkiller, but I couldn't take that...it just made me sleep constantly!!! I did take Tramadol but it didn't do anything for me. The best I have taken is Codeine Phos 30mg.
Thanks Sue, it's more the mixing I'm concerned about if I'm honest. I don't touch codeine as I have been addicted to it so now I don't touch it. Gentle hugs. Xx
