Is this just based on Fibro or other conditions as well. Also how did you go about it, as when I tried online, it rejected me. X.
Our Local council base the blue badge on the fact that if you get mobility PIP/DLA then you will get one. However if you can prove that it will make a great difference to the way you get about then they may do a assessment and then give it you.
I have had one for some time but there was a bit of a glitch with the last one. They would not give me one until I was assessed but that would of been 5 months after my badge ran out and would of meant over the winter months. After a few phone calls explaining my many illness's and the impact not having a blue badge. I had the customer relations manager call me to tell me that there had been an admin error and I should not of even had a letter regarding being assessed. She did apologies for the error and I got the badge in time.
Thanks for that info Offcut. I'm not on any benefits as am a pensioner with a small (very) private pension also. It would make my life that little bit easier to have a blue badge, I can't walk great lengths without a great deal of pain. X.
great news
