it's awful when it's like that, I feel for you.

try using a pillow / folded or rolled towels to support different body parts; under an arm; or in the small of your back; or a pillow under / between your legs or feet.

Hi nothingwrong

I am so sorry to read that you have been having this issue and I know from personal experience how horrid and painful it can be. I have pasted you a link to the FibroAction web page relating to symptoms, and I genuinely hope that you find it useful:

fibroaction.org/Pages/What-...

If this persists or gets any worse, you should discuss the issue with your GP to rule out that anything else is happening and maybe they can give you something for this chronic pain?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Thanks Ken, every thing I post on here I have discussed with my gp and had many blood tests, her has this vacant expression on his face and looks at me like I'm an alien. Fybromyalgia is the only thing he comes up with.

i always feel worse when I lie in so I get out of bed as soon as I wake up - if it is after 5 am. i can then take 3-4 hours to actually shower have breakfast and dress.

I remember watching my dog walk up one morning - she very carefully did stretching exercises before she got up - first her head then one leg after another and finally her back.

Hi nothingwrong, I struggle with sleep but like you I have to get out of bed early in the morning although it's a slow crawl out of bed, I couldn't jump out lol! Because I am in too much pain to lay there any longer. I make a cuppa and take painkillers and then go back to bed and prop myself up with pillows. I usually fall asleep again as I've only had a couple of hours sleep but then get a cricked neck but at least I get a bit more rest. I do understand what you mean though about feeling heavy and in pain and needing to get up.

Take care

April

Hi nothing wrong ( fantastic name!!)

Same for me...... no more lie-ins, if I stay in bed, I just feel worse and worse.

So as soon as I wake up, usually just after 6am, I gently stretch my limbs to get them moving, and climb slowly out of bed ( no jumping out!)

I do find that once I start moving that the aches seem to improve and by the time I have my bowl of porridge my body is getting back to "normal" ( well, normal for me anyway!)

I have decided that waking up so early, is my body's way of telling me it's had enough sleep and it's time to get up and get "on with life"

So my motto is "early to bed, early to rise" and I guess this is the way my "body clock" is set..... I do struggle when we change clocks to British summer time or going on holiday to a different time zone.

Xxx :) :)

Hi Phlebo123, thanks for replying, I would love to be able to do gentle stretches to get out of bed but the pain is severe as soon as I open my eyes and from experience the faster I get up the sooner it wears of, I do stumble about then get a cup of tea and sit for about 5 minutes till I go in the shower and that's the only time I get any relief

The name comes from my gp after years of telling him my strange symptoms and many many blood test he always comes back to me with"there's nothing wrong with you"'well let me tell you I would gladly give him my pain and other symptoms and just wait for the look of horror on his face. If only!!!!!!

If only, nothingwrong, if only. I had the same with my gp.P'raps I should have chosen my screen name from what he put about me on my records - hypochondriac, anxiety about health, worrier, depressed - but p'raps it's a bit long! Gentle hugs, Julie xxx
