well, were do I start! went to Doctors on Wednesday as pain relieve has not been working for a long time. following the saga of stopping my Tramadol all at once after four years+ on maximum dose and nearly killing me, the doctors having been trying to find a suitable pain killer for me with little success, ( I am very allergic ). On Wednesday the Doctor decided to try Buprenorphine sublingual (under the tongue). Chemist off course did not have it so I started it yesterday afternoon. Woke this morning with swollen face and struggling with breathing, had to take antihistamine immediately and Asthma inhalers and phone GP, which resulted in emergency appointment, even my usually inhalers would not settle my chest so that had to be changed and I was put back on co-codamol for now. Doctor has said he is going to refer me to a rheumatologist who specialises in Fribro and will be able to refer me to a specialised physio who deals with fibro patients, I think it means an out of town trip but as he says its been 9 years since I last saw a rheumatologist its time for a revisit, and he is sending me to see a pain counsellor. I think he is referring me so he does not accidently finish me off with medication. Still no results of xrays. Any way the upshot is I am now at home in pain and on another waiting list, or two! Good job I have nothing better to do than wait around. At least the new inhaler worked and I can now breathe and have stopped coughing. (always have to look for the positive) Hope you are all well, it looks like its going to be a nice weekend and I am expecting family all weekend, that should take my mind off it. I am blessed with such a lovely family. Gentle hugs, and healing light to anyone who is feeling poorly or down. xxxxxxxx

I have tried all of the above and more over the year's, I just seem to be very allergic, when I was young I had severe asthma and spent most of childhood in hospital now nearly everything they give me aggravates my chest, the asthma has been under control for years until the drugs drs have tried recently and now its all flared up again, dr looked generally worried at how quickly I reacted to what he has given me over last month, think that is why he is sending me to rheumatologist.
